DOMINION OVER DEATH VIII

The implications
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”
Colossians 3:1-5, KJV

These are the things you need to crucify at the cross because they are capable of shutting you off from the life of Christ. Nothing short-circuits the flow of life like sin. What do you covet? Are you celebrating what God has made you? Are you rejoicing for what God has given you or do you want something else? The only prescription for all these is the cross of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That is where you crucify covetousness.

You deal with the carnal nature of man, the adamic nature on a once for all basis at the cross. Mr flesh is crucified only on the cross. The cross is not only a symbol of dominion over death, it is the symbol of dominion over sin, self, satan and all his agents, principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, sickness, disease, death, hell, poverty, scarcity and lack.

For every distress, the cross is the divine prescription. It is the symbol of dominion over everything that is evil. That is why whenever you drift from the cross, your Christianity becomes weak. Before long, you will become like the world. We must set our affections on things above. Remember that you are becoming what you are eating. The muscle you are developing is the one you feed. If you feed the flesh, your spirituality will be weak. If you feed the spirit man, you will be strong spiritually.

“So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”
1 Corinthians 15:54, KJV
“He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.”
Isaiah 25:8, KJV
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
Revelations 20:14, KJV

Death is a personality that has been defeated on the cross. The way to live above this is to remain connected to him that has come to give us life in abundance. May this abundant life flow from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet and terminate every agenda of hell in every facet of your life in the name of Jesus Christ.
