When we gave our lives to Christ those days, the consciousness of the second coming of Jesus was our everyday reality. This saved us from a lot of mischief. We couldn’t tell a lie and be comfortable with it for five minutes because we didn’t know when the rapture would take place. However, I have observed that it would appear that as the age progresses, a lot of people have lost that consciousness.
The truth of the matter is that we are nearer to it than yesterday. Every passing moment brings us closer and closer to eternity. God has a programme right from creation and this programme is running. Any student of prophecy will confirm to you that there is nothing left.
Whenever a new nation connects with this ministry, first and foremost, I get excited then secondly, I get introspective because I am a student of prophecy. I know the implication of this. This ministry has covered about one hundred and ninety one nations of the world. That is the only factor left, every other thing has been fulfilled but the message shall be preached to all nations. With just one platform, we are reaching out to one hundred and ninety-one nations to the glory of God. You can imagine the exploits that bigger ministries with multiple platforms are doing.
“But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”.Acts 1:8, KJV
Are you still witnessing? There remaineth nothing left! If Jesus decides to come tonight, prophecy has been fulfilled. But the question is not about whether he is coming back, the question is when?
The second question to ask is – is the Church ready? When last was your attention drawn to the fact that Jesus is still coming? I can tell authoritatively and I will not be wrong that if you sample all the sermons preached in various Churches today (Sunday), over seventy percent did not reflect the fact that Jesus is coming soon.
The Church is drifting. There is a great temptation to prepare people for this age that is speedily winding down. This age is winding down; this dispensation will soon be over. A dispensation is a moral period in human history that always ends in judgment. How ready are you?
I never knew that I would finish my high school before the rapture took place. That is the danger in it. Thank God that it didn’t take place when I was backslidden for five years. That was the worst period of my life. I was searching for truth and studied all manner of books until I came to the end of the road. Right there in my room on my birthday, I came to the end of it. I evaluated my life, all I saw was foolishness and I wept. I reached out for my tattered Bible and reconnected to God. Anyone who misses Jesus Christ has missed the truth. Anyone who misses Jesus has missed the way. Anyone who misses Jesus has missed life. It does not matter what that person acquires or thinks. The greatest tragedy is to face eternity without Christ; it is to go to a Christless grave. Everything in this world is designed to make you earthbound, to keep you chasing shadow until the trumpet sounds.
