5. What you chase determines your direction.
What you chase is your leader, you are only a follower. I have discovered that the greatest requirement of leadership is direction. You cannot be facing down and expect things to look up. Stephen looked up and saw the heavens open. A lot of people undermine the technical dimensions of the word of God and expect to succeed. They end up like the world. You cannot dominate a world that you have become one with. That is the problem of the Church.
6. What you chase determines your destination.
What you chase determines the spirit you will attract. It is the spirit that leads you in this life through the market place that will lead you home. I weep whenever I see people chase lower things, when I see people leave the call of God for the call of man. They call it promotion or opportunity. Which is superior? May you not embrace any opportunity that will end up in leprosy in the mighty name of Jesus. There are spirits in this world which if you follow, you will end up in hell. Any spirit that is not the Holy Spirit will not take you to heaven. It is the spirit that determines the seal you will carry. The spirit that leads you will lead you to the home of your owner.
7. What you chase determines what will follow you and what will flow through you.
What you chase is your connection and for every connection there is a flow. For every flow there will be deposits. That is why Jesus said, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all the things that people seek will follow you (Matt. 6:33). You don’t need to carry any title; the spirit that leads you will announce you. Don’t put the Holy Spirit in a cage; this is one of the things that titles do to people. At a particular time, some people wanted to make me a deliverance minister but I refused because I didn’t find that title in the Bible. Deliverance should follow every child of God. It is one of the signs that follow true believers.
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”.Mark 16:17-18, KJV
The first sign is to cast out devils, if you are not casting out devils, are you really a believer? It is because the Church is not casting out enough devils that devils are all over the place, some have even taken over countries and running them thereby putting the world in serious jeopardy. Stephen preached the truth and the people stoned him. What was his crime? How do you receive the truth? If your pastor cannot correct you, then he is not qualified to be your pastor. If you react negatively to the revelation of truth, something is seriously wrong with the direction you are facing.
8. What you chase is what will determine your reward.
Only those who have the Lord as their Shepherd will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
