The worst enemy to have is oneself. When you become enemy of your own self, the devil has no more work to do because he has already done all he needed to do. Those who are looking for their enemies without will discover that the enemies are not really in the direction they are looking, the enemy is actually within. When it gets to this stage, the devil enjoys it because there is no how you can help anyone who is looking for what is not there ‘there’. It is only a place problem that can have a place solution. A person problem cannot have a place solution.
The more I do a study on this the more it shocks and humbles me. The more it helps me because lately I rarely look for the enemy outside. Instead, I look inwards. Jesus said a man’s greatest enemies are members of his household (Matt. 10:36). Your first house is you. You are a house, you are a temple. So, look inwards before looking for the external enemy in order to ascertain that you are not the one responsible for your problems.
Pray –
- Father, please help me. Help me not to be deceived. Help me not to be derailed, help me never to be deluded, help me never to be distracted and help me never to be disconnected in the name of Jesus.
- Help me to remain connected to you and to the frequency of heaven. Help me to submit to the leading of the precious Holy Spirit in every department of my life.
- May the spirit of God guide me, lead me and lift me and continue to empower me.
- Let the fire of your presence, O God, envelop me. Show me your glory Lord and let your blessings overflow in my life.
- Let your power be manifest in every facet of my life, let your wisdom be revealed through me. I give you honour and glory. I give you praise and adoration. I thank you because I know you love me.
- Help me to walk uprightly and I trust that you will not withhold any good thing from me. Thank you ancient of days.
- Through you, I shall do valiantly. Help me never to look for what is not missing. Help me not to embark on a journey to nowhere and miss the substance. Thank you ancient of days in Jesus’ name.
