One day as I was stepping out of the house, I saw a young boy by our gate weeping profusely. I engaged him in a conversation and discovered that he had just collected his report card from the school and sadly, he failed. He was afraid of going home to meet his father. It took a lot of counsel to make him go home. The day of result is a day of celebration for many but it is also a day of pain, anguish and regret for others.
One of the greatest lies the devil tells people is to make them live as if they will not die or make them park as if the earth is their final resting place. God never designed this earth to be the final resting place, he redesigned the earth to be a passage and not a park. May your story not be like that of the young boy. He had the same opportunity that those who did excellently well in his class had. He owned up and confided in me that he was very playful and did not really study.
PRAYER
- Father, help me. May I never have any reason to regret in the name of Jesus. Grant me the grace to be one of those who will shout for joy and expect your coming. When the trumpet will sound, may I be air borne and be airlifted to rendezvous with you above the sky in the name of Jesus.
- Help me not to be earth bound. Deliver me from anything that is capable of making me miss heaven at last.
- Make heaven more real to me than any earthly thing can ever be in the name of Jesus.
- Deliver me from anything that binds, anything that hinders and from anything that is capable of making me disconnect from you in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Help me to make hay while the sun still shines in the name of Jesus. Thank you ancient of days.
- Jesus, you have gone to prepare a place for me, please prepare me for that place so that where you are, there I will also be in Jesus’ name.
- Make my life progressively better in every sense and in every way in Jesus’ name. Amen!
