Modern day idolatry is very active today in the Church – using God to get things. If you want to make heaven at last, please break away from idolatry. The gospel of give me your gold and I will make you a god is very common today. Take note of how Moses judged it when he came down from Mount Sinai. The force of righteousness will crush every nonsense. It takes aggression to deal with idolatry. Idolatry is wicked. Africa is the way it is today just because of idolatry. Wherever you find idolatry, you will find extreme wickedness. All forms of corruption thrive as a result of idolatry.
The Holy Spirit dropped something in my heart, that no society, no nation can rise above the moral standards set by the Church. Show me the direction of the Church and I will show you the direction of the nation. We are never to bow to any unrighteous authority. God gets his job done on earth by righteous authorities empowered by the precious Holy Spirit. If the spirit is not of God, then God is not in it. The devil gets his job done on earth by unrighteous authorities empowered by the spirit of witchcraft.
If the spirit behind the throne is not the Holy Spirit, a child of God should not submit to it. If you submit to it, you submit into error, you submit into destruction. Aligning with a leader who is headed in the direction of hell is the greatest manifestation of foolishness. Leadership determines your destiny and your destination. Any leader that cannot take you to God will take you to hell.
That is what the Church ought to be teaching. The Church is supposed to be defending the faith that was handed over to her. You don’t pacify evil, you crush it. If you frolic with evil, it will contaminate and consume you. Evil is like a Frankenstein monster, easy to create but difficult to control.
Today, the devil is smiling because he has his men positioned in strategic places in the world. The world is sick, you must not be part of the rot. We are supposed to be healing agents in a sick world, enforcers of righteousness in our domain where God has placed us. In order to do that, you need to align properly with the precious Holy Spirit.
Holiness is not optional in this end time, it is mandatory. Holiness is loving God and going out of your way to do what pleases him. Holiness involves loving what God loves, supporting what God loves and hating what God hates. Hating is part of it but we are not really seeing that aspect, what we see today is compromise. The moment a Church is compromised, she is good for nothing. Salt that has lost its saltness is good for nothing (Matt. 5:13).
Pray –
- Lord, have mercy on me. I throw away every idol. I jettison every idol in my life, I dethrone it in the name of Jesus Christ.
- I repent identificationally with respect to the idolatry of my forebears in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, have mercy on me according to your love and your kindness. Do not hold it against me in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Lord, you are the only true God, you are the living God, have mercy, O God, in the name of Jesus. Only you deserve my worship, only you deserve my praise. Grant me the grace to break away completely from darkness, idols, and from the root of idolatry in the powerful name of Jesus.
- Lord, I yield by body, soul and spirit to you and make a commitment to serve you, the only living God all the days of my life.
- Lord, make me a God chaser. Help me to love you so fanatically that the idea of substituting that love for anything else does not remotely exist in the name of Jesus.
- Let your love grow more and more in my heart in the powerful name of Jesus. Make me all you want me to be.
