This is the time to hand over everything ahead to God who is able to keep that which is handed over to him. No one can protect more than God. The greatest protection is in the secret place of the most high, those who have learnt to dwell in the secret place not those who visit. A lot of Christians are visitation minded and that is why they cannot make the most of their relationship with God. God is looking for those who are habitation minded; those who have learnt to dig in and refuse to quit. The Hebrew word for dwell is “Yashab” which means to dig in and fight any other thing that wants to pull you out or that wants to disconnect you.
Today, there are too many centrifugal forces throwing people out of the purpose of God for their destiny. At a time like this when the year is drawing to an end is the time when kings go to war. That is the time of stock taking. That is the time of introspection. That is the time to look at the record, a time of book-keeping, record taking time. Are you satisfied with your life? Are there areas where you need to make amends? This is the time to tell yourself the truth. Mark your own script assiduously and truthfully. Do an honest evaluation. That is what God desires (Psa. 51:6).
If the foundation of your life is not built on truth, then something is wrong, knock it down.
“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”1 Corinthians 3:11, KJV
Jesus said,
“I am the way, the truth, and life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”John 14:6, KJV
The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth, if you remove truth there is nothing left in Christianity. The cross is the meeting place between the mercy side and the truth side of God.
This is not only the time that righteous kings go to battle; it is also the time when unrighteous kings unleash their weapons trying to control events. The devil has been in the business of manipulation, intimidation for the purpose of control – to control destinies and events. Things don’t just happen, they take place first in the realm of the spirit. There is the battle of the age raging and God is counting on you to be an enforcer of righteousness and to be a righteous influence in your environment, to be a light in darkness, to be a healing agent in a sick world, to be Christlike.
God will bless you this season, he will not withhold any good thing from you if you can get yourself to the point of making God your sun, shield and rock.
“For the LORD is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”Psalm 84:11, KJV
The problem is not with God, he is ready to release his blessings but the question is, are you in a position to receive? Only those who walk uprightly can obtain God’s blessings, those who walk in the dark will embrace their foes, they will run to the wrong places in search of help and there they will receive stabs and scars.

- Heavenly Father, I worship and adore you. Grant me the grace to align completely so that your purpose will be fulfilled in every facet of my life in Jesus’ name.
