When God is leading, he is lifting. Anything God is involved in does not diminish, it gets enhanced. One of the ways to know if you have made a wrong connection is when things start going down. A lot of people read the Bible like a story book but meanwhile the word of God is very technical. It is not in the accumulation of the word that makes you blessed, no, it is in the application.
Knowledge cannot be power unless it can fully be utilized in its refined state of applied wisdom. Wisdom is the right application of knowledge for one’s personal benefit and for the benefit of others.
The reason why people are not excited about the things of God is because they don’t know the practical benefits; a little to the left and a little to the right does not work. There is no better path than the path of the righteous because it keeps shinning brighter and brighter (Prov. 4:18).
Many people jump the steps enumerated in this passage, they start binding and loosing, it cannot fly. They start calling down fire, fire will not fall. They start doing the kingship ministry of intercession. It is only as a consecrated priest can you officiate as an all-conquering king. Jesus said the prince of this world cometh, he finds nothing in me (John 14:30). If he comes, will he find any of his property in you?
Take a look at all the blessings associated with returning. Purity is power. The only person the devil fears is the one without defilement. The devil does not fear your title. Joshua, the high priest was clothed with a filthy garment (Zech. 3:3). The devil stood at his right hand to resist him. It took the intervention of God to remove the filthy clothes.
Pray –
- Lord, please search through me, from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet; look into my records, is there anything that makes you sad? Please roll it away in the name of Jesus. Cleanse me to the utmost. Purify my heart.
- Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart align with your will and be acceptable in your sight in the name of Jesus.
- Father, whatever is capable of hindering my prayer efforts, let it dissolve and disappear in the name of Jesus. Anything that the enemy can use to gain access into any area of my life, Lord, let it dissolve and disappear.
- I saturate my life in the blood of Jesus and I confess all my sins and misdemeanors. Lord, forgive me in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
- Cleanse my heart. Cleanse the words of my mouth. Purify the work of my hand. Purify my walk with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- Help me to be all you want me to be in the name of Jesus. Cleanse me, wash me, purge me with the precious blood of your Son, Jesus Christ. Sanctify me. Make me holy for you are holy in the name of Jesus.
- Remove every dross, remove every dust. Purify me to the utmost. Remove every filthy garment in the name of Jesus Christ. Help me to put away every idol and align with your will. Help me to fall in love over and over again with you.
- Grant me the grace to say, let your perfect will be done. Help me to align with your revealed will and let your name be magnified in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you ancient of days, in Jesus’ name I pray.
