Basically there are four reasons why people fall sick:
3. Satan and his agents.
Many sicknesses have spiritual dimensions. Demons steal, they kill, they destroy. A spiritual sickness cannot be healed medically. That is why a lot of people die from consuming sicknesses even after spending a fortune on treatment. Some medical doctors who are sincere enough will acknowledge that they do not expect such people to overcome the sickness, all they do is to manage the person to a peaceful death. They know that they do not have the solution.
A spiritual problem requires a spiritual solution. I have witnessed a lot of such sicknesses disappear in the place of deliverance. In fact, such people get restored to the extent that it will be difficult to believe that they ever had such sicknesses. Somebody was brought for deliverance many years back; she was looking so aged. During praise and worship sessions, this sister would muster all the strength in her and start dancing and praising God, eventually she would fall under the anointing while we continued praying.
This continued and she started getting better and looking prettier and much younger. The transformation was so much that as soon as she returned to her base in another state, four suitors approached her for marriage and she eventually got married to one of them to the glory of God.
The beautiful thing is that every sickness can be checkmated spiritually because the spiritual controls the physical. The divine prescription for every man’s malady remains the cross of Christ. It was at the cross that the curse that was responsible for sickness was removed. Depression is a spirit and it does not operate alone. We prayed for a sister who was depressed and she started manifesting violently. She was restored after the prayers. She got a very good job not too long after that.
Demonic sicknesses abound and keep multiplying all over the place. Medical science is limited and cannot handle them. After Jesus rebuked a dumb and deaf spirit, the man spoke and began to hear. The presentation seemed physical but it was deep and demonic, the man was possessed by a dumb and deaf spirit (Mark 7:31-37). In the place of deliverance, we have seen people vomit cancer and other diseases and got completely healed. We have also seen several cases of evil growths disappear in the place of prayer.
There is no sickness that cannot be crushed by the crushing power of the cross of Christ, be it physical, spiritual, biological or emotional.
