One of the greatest problems of man today is buck-passing, looking for who is responsible for their challenges without looking inwards. A lot of people are guilty of this. If you are guilty of this, take note that no one can deliver you.
There are seven steps to deliverance:
- Honesty. If you lack honesty, no one can deliver you.
- Humility. You must acknowledge that you need help. Most of the people who need help do not realize it; they think that they are the ones helping.
- Repentance. It is only when the first two steps have been taken care of that you can repentance.
- Re-dedication
- Renunciation
- Prayer
- Warfare
Who is the “Rock”?
“I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation and high tower.”Psalm 18:1-2, KJV
Until you discover the LORD as your Rock, you will be floating. This is one of the reasons why a lot of Christians are running from place to place seeking for miracles; the Lord is not their Rock. They are miracle seekers. Miracle seekers don’t make good disciples. They are not established. They are not grounded. They move from place to place.
A man of God described spiritual maturity as falling in love over and over again with Jesus Christ. It is not in climbing the ecclesiastical ladder that you mature in your walk with God; it is in falling in love with Jesus Christ. It is not in being a worker, or a deacon, or going on pilgrimage. It is in falling in love over and over again with Jesus. Until he becomes the foundation, anything you build will be shaken and cannot stand. The closer you come to Christ, the more broken you will become and you will learn to dwell in the clefts of the rock.
