THE FOUNDATION OF GIVING 1C

Adam fell because he was not a worshipper. The easiest way to fall is to become an idolater and this is so easy, that is the reason why Adam fell. If Adam were a worshipper, he would not have allowed the snake, which was supposed to be a beast of the field, to enter the Garden of Eden to pervert the word of God.

The word of God was perverted in the Garden of Eden and that was where perversion originated from. Remember that the devil knows the power of worship because he was the worship leader in heaven before he fell. He is aware that the moment you become a true worshipper, you become a terror to his kingdom.

Even in the fall of man, God still displayed his wisdom with his greatest love for man.

“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.”
Genesis 3:21, KJV

When man fell, he started doing his own thing. Once there is perversion, man cannot think straight; the heart of a pervert cannot think straight that was why Adam wanted to use leaves to cover his nakedness.

Sin disrobes. Sin distorts. Sin removes the glory cover, sin cuts short the glory. You cannot cover sin with leaves. Blood has to be shed. Without the shedding of blood there cannot be remission (Heb. 9:22). Today, there are so many leafy activities. People don’t want you to talk about sin, they don’t want you to raise the javelin anointing against it. They want to cover up. As long as no one sees them, they feel comfortable. How can all be well when there is sin in the garden?

The worst mistake anyone can make is to try to cover sin. But that is what a lot of people do; they tell a lie and live the rest of their lives trying to cover up. In the process they tell a million. What would have been the wise thing to do? The Bible says he that covers his sin shall not prosper but whoso confesses and forsake them shall have mercy (Prov. 28:13).

Fallen man has the leafy mentality which is a rotten mentality; it cannot take you to God. What is not exposed can never find light and whatever does not have light will remain in the dark. Anywhere there is darkness, there will be legion of demons. Whatever you hold unto has become your god. Whatever you fail to release in order to do the will of God is your small god.  What is not open can never be solved.

The Bible is a book of ifs,

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:8-9, KJV

Man loves leafy things. Sermons have also become leafy; leafy activities everywhere. Every true child of God should be like a child, naked before God but not ashamed. What are you trying to hide? “Adam, where are you?” (Gen. 3:9)

God, in his infinite wisdom, made a way of escape when man fell in the garden (Gen. 3:15), the first messianic prophecy – the seed of the woman. You can see how terrible sin is; because of one sin in the garden, God had to become man in order to rectify one error; he had to send his son to die on the cross, to shed his sinless immaculate, spotless, precious blood. No leafy activity could atone for sin, not one of godless sacrifices has any eternal value.

Every bloodless sacrifice has no eternal value. Any bloodless worship is not acceptable to God. God took the initiative to shed blood in order to cover the sin of man. The first messianic prophecy was fulfilled on the cross; on that faithful day, the blood of Jesus Christ the Lamb of God that was slain, the crucified Jesus Christ on the cross bruised the head of leviathan. The seven heads of leviathan were completely dismantled and destroyed. In one glorious moment of fulfillment, the messianic prophecy in Gen. 3:15 came alive.
