If you are looking for the person who failed you, never you look in the direction of my heavenly Father. Rather, look inwards. This is one of the greatest problems of man today; man is a buck passer. That is one of the characteristics acquired in the Garden of Eden; looking outside for the problem, meanwhile the problem is within and that is why the problem continues. I have been in ministry for about thirty years now and whenever people come to me for counsel and ask me the question, ‘why me?’ I always reply, who should it be if not you? This response always comes to them as a shock. Fallen man is full of self and never aims right.
If man realizes how desperately he needs God, he will tremble at God’s word. The first prescription for anyone who wishes to come into the presence of God is humility. The second one is honesty. A lot of people go into the presence of God with idols in their heart; pride is a form of idolatry, idolatry of self. God resists the proud (James 4:6).
Pray –
- Acknowledge where you have missed it. Tell God that you are sorry. Father, do not allow me to get into foolishness. Help me to acknowledge my littleness before you. You are the almighty; you can do without me but Lord, I cannot do without you, not even for a second. I need you, every moment, every minute, every hour and all the days of my life.
- I have fixed my eyes upon you. Jehovah Lord, my eyes are on you. Your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee, thus will I bless thee, I will lift up my hands unto thy name.
- Lord, teach me to walk with you. Help me to know you. Reveal yourself to me and grant me the grace, for the rest of my life, to walk hand in hand with you so that your purpose will be fulfilled in every facet of my life in the name of Jesus.
- Let my passion and talents align with your purposive will for my destiny. Help me to fulfil your purpose for my destiny and leave nothing undone that I should do and enter my allotted inheritance in you in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Grant me grace that I may know you. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus name.
