Every trace of iniquity is enough to whittle down your spiritual fervency and potency of your prayer. It is so easy to commit iniquity. Iniquity is derived from the Hebrew word, awvone which means to turn away from light, to turn away from divine prescription. I marvel at how people disobey simple instructions that will help them. How can you be tuned to the will of God if your ‘meat’ is not to do his will? If you don’t delight to do the will of God, you will face battles.
We need to clean up. Is there any trace of iniquity in your heart? Is there any way that you are misaligned from the will of God? Is there any way that you are partial in obedience to the guidance of God and to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit? Psa. 66:18, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”. God does not violate his word because he has elevated his word above his name (Psalm 138:2). Eph. 1:11 says that God does everything according to the counsel of his own will. Therefore, anything that is not in tandem with his will cannot have divine endorsement.
Pray –
- Father, have mercy on me according to your merciful loving kindness, according unto the multitude of your tender mercy, please forgive me. Look into my heart, is there any iniquity, any unforgiveness, any bitterness, please have mercy. Remove every trace of bitterness, remove every root of bitterness in the garden of my heart.
- Lord, I want to be holy, make me holy. Help me to follow peace with all men. Help me to love the most unlovable. Grant me grace, O God, to love the unlovable in the name of Jesus.
- Grant me grace never to habour any bitterness towards anyone. Help me to remove every offence in the garden of my heart.
- O God, help me, I need your help. Remove every vengeance, every bitterness, every trace of it. Wash me, cleanse me, O God, make me holy. Father, make me holy for you are holy.
- Establish me in holiness, O God. Establish my heart in holiness, in righteousness and in your wisdom.
- Father, cleanse the garden of my heart; make it pure, make it acceptable in your sight in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
- Everlasting and most merciful Father, remove every heart of stone in me, give me a good heart, give me a soft heart that is tuned to the frequency of heaven in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Give me the heart of Christ. I desire to do your will, Lord, help me to do your will. Help me, O God, to align with your purposive will and to fulfil it.
- Deliver me from the lust of the flesh, lust of the eye and pride of life in the name of Jesus. Wash me and cleanse me. Remove every trace of defilement from my heart in the name of Jesus.
- Cleanse my spiritual apparel; let it glitter in the name of Jesus. Clothe me, through the blood of your dear Son Jesus Christ, with the garments of salvation, righteousness, majesty and strength. Clothe me with the bride’s garment of honour and strength.
- O God, strengthen me where I am weak. Help me to break away from idolatry. The gods that have not made the heavens and this earth, Lord, let them perish from this earth and from under these heavens in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Grant me the grace to fall in love with you and to walk hand in hand with you so that your purpose alone may be fulfilled in every facet of my life.
- Guide me by the skillfulness of your hand unto all perfection. Help me to be all you want me to be and accomplish all you want me to accomplish and leave nothing undone that I should do.
- Uphold me in the name of Jesus. Empower me by your Spirit. Envelop me with your glory fire, purify me, take every dross away. O God, purify this vessel, make me a vessel of honour fit for your use in the name of Jesus.
- I plead the blood of Jesus.
