Another thing that will help you to position strategically is complete obedience. A lot of believers are weak in obedience and too sharp to say what they don’t understand. By so doing, they put themselves into snares.
“And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath.”Deuteronomy 28:13A, KJV
The prerequisite for this blessing is, “If thou shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments”. You must do ALL, not some. Partial obedience is one of the greatest problems of Church goers today. The highest level of spiritual warfare is spiritual warfare by righteousness, divine positioning – standing right in Christ. In him, we live and move and have our being. When you strategically position yourself in Christ;
- That is when you are more than a conqueror.
- That is when you are untouchable, unreachable and indestructible by the powers of darkness.
- That is when you rule in the midst of your foes.
- That is when you manifest the fullness of God.
- That is when you manifest sonship.
- That is when you receive strategic instructions and designs.
If you have not learnt to hear God, please desire it. If you are running a Church without hearing from God, you will run the Church by setting up committees without commitment. You will run the Church like a political party or business entity. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). It takes a bit of spiritual maturity to hear God. And when he speaks, you had better run; be complete in obedience.
Our obedience comes in two dimensions:
1. Obedience to the revealed will of God as enunciated in his word, the Bible.
How can you be a child of God and you don’t feast on the word of God and you are comfortable? How can you grow? The word of God is food. The word of God is life. The word of God is health. The word of God is healing. The word of God revitalizes, it is one of the secrets of vitality, freshness, and reinvigoration. The word of God is of course the sword of the spirit. It is the word that you will use to challenge everything the devil throws at you.
How can you prosper comprehensively without the word of God? How can you survive the world today without the word of God? You are either in the word of the Lord and free from the world or you are in the world and free from the word! Unfortunately, most believers are in the world, free from the word and that is why you cannot find Christ revealed in their lives. When the chips are down, they keep running helter skelter seeking for who will see vision for them and eventually fall into the hands of false prophets.
You don’t see things they way things are, you see things the way you are! You will always see in the direction you face. Those who are looking down will see the grave, accident and exposure but those who are looking up will see the glory cover, the hand of God the almighty. They are bold to declare – though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for the Lord is with me (Psalm 23:4). Those who walk with God walk in a fear-free zone.
