Pray –
- I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, Father, encompass me with favour like a shield. Encompass my children with favour like a shield. Encompass my spouse with favour like a shield in Jesus name.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”Psalm 23:6, KJV
Before goodness and mercy can follow you, you must enthrone God as your Shepherd. It is the Shepherd that leads the sheep not the other way round. That order is not from God. When the Lord is your Shepherd, he is the one who will determine your destination. Leadership is for direction, it is not a title, it is not by appointment. In God’s kingdom, what you have is theocracy not democracy, a kingdom where God alone is the King, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The Lord cannot be your Shepherd where you are in control.
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”Titus 2:11-14, KJV
True grace is supernatural empowerment to be all that God wants you to be, to accomplish all that God wants you to accomplish, to live above sin, above the lust of the flesh, above the lust of the eyes, above the pride of life. That is the true meaning of Grace. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of grace; receive that grace right now. The same spirit of grace is the spirit of truth. You cannot have grace without truth. Mercy and truth go together.
