“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will. That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the holy Spirit of promise. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory”. Wherefore also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. God does everything according to the counsel of his own will. The revealed will of God is the word of God. God does not do things arbitrarily. That is why you must weigh whatever anyone tells you according to what the word of God says. If anyone tells you anything that is not consistent with the word of God, it cannot be in the will of God and if it is not in the will of God, it is a lie. God cannot answer your prayer if you have iniquity in your heart. Why? Psa. 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”. God wants us to be to the praise of his glory.
Pray –
- Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, henceforth, do not allow me to do things arbitrarily, do not allow me do anything that is contrary to your purposive will.
- Grant that every action I take will always be in sync with your revealed will for my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Help me to walk hand in hand with you. Grant that my life will praise you and declare your glory in every way in the name of Jesus.
- Let your perfect will always be established in my life in the name of Jesus.
- Empower me by your spirit to align with your will and to fulfil it. Do not allow me to walk in your permissive will. Grant me grace to walk in your perfect will all the days of my life in Jesus name.
