DOMINION OVER DARKNESS (PART XX) THE GOD THAT ANSWERETH BY FIRE

CONTINUED . . .

As a child of the most High God, if you allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in line with the principles Elijah practiced in his lifetime, you too can bring down the fire and the rain with a very short prayer.

Rom. 12:1-2 enjoins us to present our lives a living sacrifice. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”. As born again Christians, bringing down the fire should be part and parcel of your everyday life. Present your life on the altar. The fire that will fall will first and foremost render you a healing service, it will take away every dross of sin in you so that the glory of God may shine forth. James 5:17-18 says, “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit”. This scripture says that what Elijah did, we too as children of God can do likewise through Christ who strengthens us as we present our body a living sacrifice, as we learn to walk with the Lord according to his precepts, God will use us not only to bring down fire but also bring the rain and stop strange fire in the lives of people and cause the rain to fall.

The same God of Elijah is the God of Apostle Paul, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is our God. Let us hold onto him, fall in love with him over and over again. Eschew anything that is contaminated with idolatry. He will not only beautify your life, he will fill you with life and power and you willl become a change agent. You will become a healing agent in a sick world. The God of Elijah is our GOD.
