DOMINION BY THE THUNDER OF HIS POWER – RELEASING THE THUNDER OF HIS POWER

  1. Obedience. If you want to release the thunder of God’s power, you need to be complete in obedience; you must not be partial in obedience. Partial obedience is synonymous with partial connection. If you are an Electrical Engineer, you will understand how dangerous partial contact can be. It can lead to electrocution; it can lead to explosion; it is capable to damaging things. Mind your connection. Be complete in obedience. Deut. 28:1-14 enumerates the blessings of God, all predicated on obedience. If you are complete in obedience, listen diligently and follow God’s prescription, you will be amazed at how God will intervene automatically to fight your battles. The thunder of his power, nobody can withstand.
  2. Your sowing. Many people don’t like talking about sowing because it has been over emphasized but the truth is that it is a law which you cannot run away from especially if you are fighting financial battles and you want to break away from poverty. There is no viable option. You must do it the kingdom way as established by Jesus. Matt. 6:38 says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”. Gen. 8:22, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”. Gal. 6:7 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. Sowing/reaping is a law, an inexorable law, nobody can stop, it can even work for non-Christians. If you sow sparingly, you will also reap sparingly.

1 Sam. 7:9-12 says, “And Samuel took a suckling lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him. and as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel. And the men of Israel went out of Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us”. One of the ways to provoke God into your battle is to offer a sacrifice – sacrificial giving, what I call ‘the battle seed’. Samuel sowed a battle seed and it produced a harvest of victory; monumental victory at that.

May the Lord give you a monumental victory as you learn to release the thunder of his power. You will have blessings after blessings, victory after victories, you will have comprehensive dominion over the forces that were unleashed against the purpose in your life. And standing on the ruins of your enemies, you will lift up the banner of the Lord; you will sing a new song in the mighty name of Jesus.
