YOUR WORD FOR TODAY

A B I D E

”Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  I am the Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me,  and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit, for without me ye can do nothing”. (John 15: 4-5)

To abide means to stay or live somewhere. I like the way verse 4 was translated in the living Bible: ”Take care to live in me, and let me live in you.  For a branch can’t produce fruit when severed from the Vine.  Nor can you be fruitful apart from me”.

It is your responsibility to keep living in Christ, so that He will keep producing tangible fruits through you.  A christian without Christ is empty. A Christless life is a wasted life.  It is Christ that gives meaning to life.  May you fall in love with Him.  The love of Christ will definitely propel you to His presence. You will learn to dwell in the clefts of the Rock.  Determine that nothing will separate you from the love of Christ.  Deal with encumbrances: delusions, deceptions – they lead to dislocation, and ultimate destruction. Jesus says:

”But if you stay in me and obey my commands, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted.  My true disciples produce bountiful harvests.  This brings great glory to my Father”. (John 15: 7-8 TLB)

P R A Y E R

Dear Heavenly Father in your mercy make it impossible for me to be separated from your dear Son Jesus Christ.  Grant me  the grace to live above the delusions and deceptions that are in the world.  Help me to abide in Christ, so my life will be abundantly fruitful;  and let my fruits abide in Jesus Jesus Name.

D E C L A R A T I O N

May Your life be so fruitful that when God looks down upon you from heaven, His face will beam with smiles of satisfaction in Jesus Name. Amen.
