”And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his Son.” And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh: as it is said to this day, in the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. (Gen. 22:13 – 14)
The turning point in Abraham’s experience occurred when he lifted up his eyes. For every vision there is a provision. He could never have got what God has provided if he didn’t look up. The psalmist says:
”I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121: 1-2)
Where you look determines what you see. What you see, determines what you get. If you look down, you will see gloom and doom. If you look up, you will see heavens open. If you can see the invisible, then you can do the impossible. According to Jeremiah:
”Moreover the word of the LORD came, unto me, saying Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, thou hast well seen; for I will hasten my word to perform it.” (Jer. 1; 11-12)
There is the right way to see, and there’s the wrong way to look at things. Anything that is not in line with the word of God is not right. That is why it is your responsibility to know the word of God. (see John 17:17, John 8:32, Joshua 1:7)
Until Nebuchadnezzer lifted up his eyes he remained a grass – eating beast. Until heaven empowers you, you will remain vulnerable. Team up with God, you will become unbeatable. Lift up your eyes, not even the sky will be your limit. Connect to The Most High, and you will operate in the highest. (Dan. 4:33 – 34)
