(B) The Holy Spirit as a Person

We had earlier established that the reason why we need to know more about the Holy Spirit is because the more you know about the Holy Spirit, the more your Christian life is enhanced; the more you know about the Holy Spirit, the more your Christian life is empowered. The more you know about the Holy Spirit, the more fruitful your Christian life. There cannot be fruitfulness without the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the spirit that quickens; he is the spirit that gives life. He is the spirit of revitalization, the spirit of resurrection, the spirit of power and the spirit of wisdom.

Wherever the Holy Spirit is moving, you will see two manifestations: the wisdom dimension and the power dimension. That is one of the ways to know where the Holy Spirit is at work. This was the reason why Jesus, in Luke 24:49, asked his disciples to “tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until ye be endued with power from on high.” Don’t jump out to start doing the work of God without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. There is danger in it, as a matter of fact, some people have paid very dearly for it. You need the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of life; there cannot be true life without the Holy Spirit. Holy Ghost Fellowship is partnership with the Holy Spirit. Anything that is spirit birthed cannot be destroyed.

The Holy Spirit is not only God, he is a person; not just an impersonal force. And because he is a person;

• He speaks. Acts 10:19-20, “While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.” If you mean business with God this year, you will see his glory. There is a supernatural empowerment that comes with divine encounter. You need to experience it. Divine encounter changes your inclination and orientation. Peter had an encounter that changed his theology. As he was ruminating over it, the Holy Spirit who gave him the revelation gave him an instruction. May you have divine connection as a result of the move of the Holy Spirit. You need Holy Ghost connection. The Holy Spirit sent people to Peter by divine orchestration; it was a Holy Ghost assisted connection. I have experienced this severally. You need that connection. There are over seven billion people in the world today, all you need is just one good connection. It is because the Church is so confused that materialism has been elevated above spirituality but thank God that there is still a remnant. God is counting on this remnant to terminate the encroachment of darkness. A time comes in your life when you don’t take any step that the Holy Spirit has not endorsed. You don’t just jump into any window or so-called opportunity, you don’t jump into any open door because some doors are actually satan’s trap. If you are not ready to be led by the Holy Spirit, you cannot partner with him and if you cannot partner with him, there will be no fellowship. Apostle Peter had to let go of his theology and follow the leading of the holy Spirit; it is the errand that the Holy Spirit sends you that he will provide for and that is the one that will count for you. If you are doing anything on your own without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, there is no plus in your account in heaven. One of the weapons the enemy is using to fight the Church today is the enemy called distraction. Distraction goes before destruction.
