BLESSED BEYOND CURSE (PART 17C) – SEAL OF LIMITATION (2) – CONFRONTING EVIL INHERITANCE

The nature of Adam is the greatest evil inheritance that man was born into. Preachers no longer emphasize the crucified way which is the way. The Apostle of grace in Gal. 2:20 says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Selfish Christianity is not Christianity at all. Anytime you say the blood of Jesus, you are talking about the greatest sacrifice ever made. The power of the blood of Jesus lies in the value; the quality of the sacrifice. As long as you continue to live for self – ‘my own’, ‘my thing’, ‘I’, ‘me’, ‘myself’, ‘my Church’ and so on, you have missed it. Do you know that there is blessedness in owning nothing? Anything you own does not have a future.

These truths are no longer being taught and that is why a Christian can be going about looking for how to grab instead of releasing – ‘desire’ ‘require’ ‘acquire’, – these are the clichés that motivational speakers disseminate. Motivational preachers have done so much damage to the Church; they have inadvertently removed the cross from Christianity. A crossless Christianity is a bloodless Christianity; a bloodless Christianity is a useless Christianity! The blood of Jesus Christ is the blood of our adoption into God’s plan. Without that adoption, there is no wonderful inheritance. What is it that you are still dragging? What lower things are you still holding onto? Even in some marriages, this issue of ‘my thing’, ‘my own’ still rears its ugly head. When will we start practicing the word of God? When will two become one? What are you holding onto that you should release? If God held on to his Son, would he have had sons? Do you know that self-seekers are great losers? The Church is sick and running after things that they should repudiate and celebrating nonsense.

Verse 16, “So stop evaluating Christians by what the world thinks about them or by what they seem to be like on the outside. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, merely as a human being like myself. How differently I feel now!” Stop appraising things by the outside, remove the packaging; go to the substance. If you choose by sight, you will always choose wrongly. If you don’t know the spirit that is operating in me, then you don’t know me. Why did the Pharisees not recognize Christ as the Messiah when he came? Why were the religious leaders swayed away from beholding the Messiah? Because as far as they were concerned, he was just the son of Mary and Joseph, the carpenter. They were looking at the flesh, they were evaluating by sight. Evil inheritance makes people to judge by sight just as Eve did in the Garden of Eden when she took a look at the fruit.

PRAY:- Eternal Most Holy God I worship You. I ask You to make it impossible for me to choose by sight. Guide me by Your spirit to see things the way You see them and make me amenable to the frequency of heaven all the days of my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
