2024/2025 OPERATION 18-18 – (THERE SHALL BE NO MORE CURSE I)
“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. for I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightiest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me … Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.”Psalm 51, KJV
This is a very powerful Psalm, written from the depths of the heart at the lowest point in David’s life after he fell. You can see the humility and sincerity with which he accepted his fault. This is very rare today. One of the things that bother me when I relate with people who go to Church – (deacons, deaconesses, pastors and so on) is their inability to accept their faults and apologize. Today, when you confront people with their folly, they feel no remorse at all. Before you know it they begin to display some attitudes and then they leave the ministry. A lot of people do not understand the spiritual implications of their actions. Horizontally, you offend, vertically, you are not standing. If you cannot say, I am sorry, there is no how you can truly repent.
David was the most powerful man in Israel at that time, yet when confronted with this sin, he humbled himself. The crime is not in falling, but in failing to rise. Nothing is worst than justifying faults, justifying error and consolidating it thereby positioning for the judgment that is meant for the unrighteous. Every unrighteousness is sin and opens people up for demons to oppress, steal, cheat, kill and destroy. This was a turning point in David’s life.
At the time the year expires when kings go to battle, the devil caused David to stay back and through satanic orchestration, he went up to take a look at the kingdom and as he did, from the top of the roof, he saw a beautiful lady taking her birth, wife of Uriah the Hittite, he could not remove his eyes from her. He could have aborted that sin at that particular time but he didn’t.
There are three stages in committing sin: conception stage – here either the eyes or any other sensory organ is involved, the ears and eyes are very instrumental in this. It is easier to abort sin at this stage. But sin quickly progresses to the incubation stage. Here, the mind gets involved. It can still be aborted at this stage though it is difficult. That was why Jesus said that whoever looks at a woman lustfully has already committed the sin because in the realm of the spirit, it is already programmed as done. At the delivery stage which is the last stage, it is impossible to abort sin because at the delivery stage, the decision has already been made. The will gets involved and it is as good as done.
Sin begets sin if it is not uprooted. David committed one sin after the other and at the end, he committed murder. A true worshipper! That is why the only thing you can do against the sex trap is to FLEE. That was exactly what Joseph did. The Bible says, Flee from every appearance of evil. If you think that you are strong enough or powerful, then go and ask Samson. If you feel that you are a worshipper, then, ask David who used to go to the house of God ten times a day, seven times to worship and three to pray. If you think that you are wise, then, go and ask Solomon the wise, the wisest man that ever lived.
The best time to abort sin is at the conception stage. Don’t allow it progress to incubation stage. Run! If sinners entice you, consent thou not (Prov. 1:10). When sin comes knocking, FLEE, RUN, BURN THE BRIDGE. A lot of destinies have been destroyed as a result of just one decision. Decisions determine everything. One of the greatest decisions you can make is to be a true Worshipper of God, live a sanctified life making progress in your walk with God. That is one of the best decisions anyone can make. Decisions define destiny and destination.
