RETURN TO THE ALMIGHTY 4C
A lot of miracles are hanging, waiting for your obedience. Partial obedience is complete disobedience, so a lot of people in partial obedience actually think that they are standing. The Bible is a book of “ifs”. One of the beautiful things that God gave to man is the right to choose. God could have imposed his will on the will of man, but that was not his intention. He wanted man to be like him.
That is the greatest definition of love – let us make man – love makes. Love takes you from nobody to somebody. Love ennobles. Love empowers. Love uplifts. Love transforms. The moment the snake enters any garden, it perverts truth. It attacked the truth side of love. So love as it is today in the world has been perverted. When you pervert love, you will produce lust. It was the truth side of love that was attacked in the Garden of Eden.
The Bible is a book of ifs and that is why you have about three hundred and twenty-one ifs in the Bible. Wherever you find an ‘if’, there is an ‘if not’. Your will is your decision self, your right to choose. God gave you a right to choose. Think of man without the right to choose, the right to make decisions. When man fell in the garden, man’s will became unified with the will of the snake in the garden.
Many times, you want to do the right thing but you find yourself struggling and you just find yourself doing what you don’t want to do. Why? It is called the adamic nature, the fallen state of man; man’s will in union with the will of the snake will always make the wrong decisions. God in his infinite wisdom, mercy and love, again decided to give man a second chance. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ to die for man. You must never joke with sin. God who is love still hates and judges sin. God is love.
God’s paths are mercy and truth (Psa. 25:10). The mercy side of God overlooks your shortcomings while the truth side of God judges sin. That was why it was necessary for the error of Adam to be corrected. Salvation is free but not cheap; it cost God his best. Think of a son today that you can tell to go and die for some people so that they can be saved. How would he respond to you? Look at what Jesus Christ did for us. He said my meat is to do the will of him who has sent me and to finish his work (John 4:34). He surrendered his will to do the will of the Father so that he will fulfil the very requirement for the atonement of the sins of man.
If you knew the condescending steps Jesus took in order to save us, you will take your salvation more seriously. The greatest miracle remains the miracle of salvation. Even after he has paid the price, the condition still remains whosoever believeth.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”John 3:16, KJV
“Believeth” here means whosoever continues to believe. Are you a believer?
Pray –
- I believe that Jesus Christ died for me and through his death, burial and resurrection, all my sins are forgiven. My name is written in the book of life in Jesus name.
