RETURN TO THE ALMIGHTY 5B

Every man drifts from time to time. It is so easy to be corrupted by flatteries. What does it mean to be corrupted by flatteries? Until you are corrupted by flatteries, you will not chase shadows.

“If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.” 

Job 22:23, KJV

May iniquity be far away from us in the mighty name of Jesus. It is so easy to entertain iniquity. It is so easy to stray. If you study the root word for iniquity, you will notice how often you commit it. The Hebrew word for iniquity is ‘awvone’ or ‘avon’ which means to turn away from light, to turn away from the revealed will of God. The moment that happens, the next thing that happens is sin. Once you turn away from the revealed will of God, sin is inevitable. It is actually the beginning of sin.

The Hebrew word for sin is, ‘hamatia’ which simply means to miss the mark. We must take note of the fact that God is not a fifty percent God. So, when you are performing fifty percent, don’t ever think that you are doing well. The logic of an unbeliever is skewed. The wisdom of the world is very sensual and carnal.

The Church, unfortunately, has not demonstrated the wisdom from above. Instead, many times, you will discover that the Church belittles the wisdom from above while submitting to the wisdom of the world. That is why things are the way they are.

When God says, if you return, it is not a command but an appeal. The greatest problem of man is the will of man in tandem with the will of the snake in the garden. That was why God sent his Son to destroy the marriage that produces rebellion and makes man to choose wrongly.

Your will is your right to choose between good and evil given to us through the love of the Father. One wrong decision, one wrong choice, one wrong submission has consequences. Every tragedy in life can be traced to that. That was why God sent his Son to make sons out of rebels.

God chose the path of love. The path of love is the best path to take in every decision you make. On the cross, the will of man crossed with the will of God and for the first time, man submitted. Why was Jesus able to do that? It was because he lived for it. It is what you live that will eventually manifest. What have you defined?

A word I received from the Lord earlier today says, even in the best of place and time, the best you can be can only be the best of who you are. Meditate on this. Adam was a perfect man in a perfect environment but who was he? It was the person he was that made him to fail. True success is being who God wants you to be, discovering God’s blue print for your life and aligning with his will to fulfil it. May you become a person who delights in doing the will of the Father in Jesus name.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 

2 Corinthians 5:17, KJV

The true meaning of new creature is, a new specie of human being. Why did God make a new creation? The first creation fell, he failed because of the unified intelligence with the will of the snake in the garden of Eden.
