COVENANT OF INFINITE GRACE (2018)

Infinite means limitless. God is able to make all grace abound towards us. It is important for you to understand the subject of grace because this understanding will help you to enter into God’s rest and his multifaceted blessings without stress. A misunderstanding of grace on the other hand will lead to conceit, pride, prejudice, delusion, deception, death and ultimate destruction. The subject of grace has been twisted by many grace ministers who stretch grace to produce error. They who present grace as if grace is a licence to sin. Grace is never a licence to sin; grace is an enablement to say ‘no’ to sin and all unrighteousness. The Bible says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?” Rom. 6:1. It was the grace of God upon Joseph that deterred him from committing sin with Potiphar’s wife. Heaven took note of this. Anytime you overcome temptation, God promotes you. Why? Because it will give God the confidence to commit important things into your hands since he knows that you can contain it. The opposite happens when people fall. When man bows to temptation, demotion takes place. It is like writing an examination; if you pass, you move up, if you fail, you go down. Receive the grace never to go down and never to bow to temptation in the mighty name of Jesus.

The meaning of Grace

The Hebrew word for grace is ‘hesed’ and it is used 38 times in the Old Testament while the Greek word for it is ‘charis’. This is used about 122 times in the New Testament. Grace is an expression of God’s love to man, in saving and blessing man with blessings that man does not deserve. God does it out of his sovereign will. God does a lot of things out of his sovereign will for which you cannot question him. That is why he is God; absolute God; comprehensively God; marvelously God, beautifully God, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient God. It is very important for us to put this in perspective because what you work for, you earn. You don’t work for grace. What you work for becomes your compensation; your wage, but God out of his sovereign will determines who to grant grace.

Mary Magdalene was a prostitute possessed with demons. Every prostitute is a gateway to hell, but Jesus delivered her to the extent that she became a true worshipper and granted her the grace to become the number one evangelist. There is no limit to the extent that God can use you by his grace. Salvation is by grace and by grace alone, not by penance. You cannot buy salvation with good works, money, by building cathedrals or by feeding the poor. These cannot save you. Eph. 2:8-9 says “for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast”. The salvation of your soul is priceless; it is free but not cheap. It cost God his best. That is why anytime you don’t place enough value on it; you are crucifying Christ a second time.

In the Old Testament, we see the demonstration of grace in the sovereign election and blessings upon people like Noah. God hates and judges sin. Out of his sovereign will, he chose to save Noah and his family from destruction. When Noah was building the ark, according to God’s instruction, people laughed at him. That is how it is in the world today. The day the twin towers were bombed on 9/11, it was business as usual; people were going in and out of the building oblivious of an impending disaster. It is a lesson to the world. Anyone who is not in the perfect will of God is drifting. It does not matter what you are pursuing, if you miss Christ, it is the greatest mistake. The greatest tragedy is to face eternity without Christ. God’s end time prophecies are fulfilling so fast. The world is advanced. The clock is ticking. The anti-Christ is already at work and at war but God has a programme. You must be very careful to align with the purpose of God. You must not stand against prophecy. Can anyone stand against a moving train? What are you pursuing? Soon after you get it, you will realize that what you are chasing cannot satisfy. The only thing that can satisfy you is the presence of God.

During the time of Noah, the torrential rain lasted for 40 days and 40 nights. The water was so much that it took 150 days to recede. God has not changed. Mal. 3:6. He is immutable, the unchanging changer of the universe. Deception will abound this year, so you need to walk closely with the Holy Spirit, align yourself with the word of God, and be at the right place at the right time in order to hear the right message. God’s end time programme is already on course and he has given us grace. Whosoever believes in the name of Jesus shall be saved. He has made it so simple. Acknowledge that Jesus Christ died for you, confess it with you mouth, believe and exchange your unrighteousness for his righteousness.

Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Samuel, Deborah, Ruth, Daniel, and Esther all experienced the grace of God in the Old Testament. They all had something in common – faith. Salvation is by grace through faith. We must trust God, no matter what. The pursuit of vanity will make you not to place enough value on things that have eternal value but after you have found it, you will discover that it is a struggle after the wind. Is what you want what you really need?

Rom. 4: 4-8, Rom. 11: 6-7. It is very clear; it has to be without works for it to be grace. If it is with works, it becomes compensation and then you can boast about it.

The Psalmist captured the whole essence of grace in a very subtle way in Psa. 103:1-5. You will see the hand of grace in this Psalm. When the hand of grace of God is on your life, your life will be sweatless and full of fruits. John 1:16 (NIV) says from the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after the other, whether you recognize it or not. For those who think money can solve all problems, money can get you a house but not a home, money can get you a housewife but not a soul mate.

Titus 2:11-15. Grace is a teacher. It teaches us to say ‘no’ to every form of ungodliness and worldly pleasure, it teaches us to live soberly in this present world. Grace is not a licence to sin, grace teaches you to say ‘no’ to anything that is not line with the purposive will of God. You must hate what God hates to be able to say ‘no’ to satanic overtures.

Whenever you lack prayer points, pray grace. If you pray grace, you will not pray amiss.
