The reason why people tolerate iniquity in their heart is because they don’t quite understand the implication; they don’t fully understand that any iniquity in the heart is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. Is it unforgiveness? It is iniquity in the heart. Is it resentment? It is iniquity in the heart. Is it malice, strife, bitterness, backbiting and so on? These are products of iniquity in the heart. Why do people tolerate it? It is because they do not understand that it is the highest form of witchcraft. Witchcraft is not limited to those who fly in the night, you may not necessarily fly in the night but you can be flying on the wings of lying. If you cannot deal with these issues in your life, there is no way you can be effective in confronting external witchcraft. You must confront this internal witchcraft before you can confront the external one. Improper consecration is the greatest enemy of spiritual warfare. This is one of the reasons why people pray continuously without any result. Clear your heart and you will see your prayer travel at the speed of thought and at the speed of desire. At that point, any external witch that dares to attack you will be destroyed.

Any preacher who tolerates iniquity in your life does not love you. True preachers do not try to trick people into believing. 2 Cor. 4:1-2 “It is God himself, in his mercy, who has given us this wonderful work (of telling his Good News to others), and so we never give up. We do not try to trick people into believing – we are not interested in fooling anyone. We never try to get anyone to believe that the Bible teaches what it doesn’t. All such shameful methods we forego. We stand in the presence of God as we speak and so we tell the truth, as all who know us will agree” (TLB). A weak pastor can be bewitched by a crooked congregation; they can manipulate your teachings by manipulating you to say what God has not told you.

You must come to a point in your life where you don’t make decisions unilaterally. If you proclaim that Jesus is the Lord, when was the last time you consulted him before taking decisions? Are you running your own life? Since you are doing God’s work, you need to consult him before embarking on any decision. You must preach the word of God as it is, do not bend it. Many messages today have been watered down, this should not be. True preaching should bring introspection that will break a contrary or stony heart, remove the thorns and convert them to manure that will fertilize your growth.

God has promised in Zech. 3:9 to remove the sins of the land in one day. “He will be the Foundation Stone of the Temple that Joshua is standing beside, and I will engrave this inscription on it seven times: I will remove the sins of this land in a single day” (TLB). God has what it takes to do it. Ezek. 36:25-31 says, “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness and from all your idols will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations” (KJV).

Every idolater is a witch and it is very easy to have an idol. What is idolatry? Idolatry is perversion of worship. What is the idol in your heart? God himself knows how to deal with the root of the matter, he knows what to sprinkle to remove the idol; he knows what to do to dethrone and destroy iniquity before it destroys the object of his love. This is the programme of God for you: to bring you to the point where you will begin to enjoy his blessings and be in tune with the frequency of heaven and align with his purposive will for your destiny so that your light will shine and the glory of God will flow through you. You will be so blessed that you will become a blessing and you will begin to have sweatless victories.
