A NEW DEAL

Text: Isa. 43:11-21

Verse 11 – “I am the Lord, and there is no other Saviour.” Are you in the Lord? Hold tenaciously to him. This is not a year to have a plan B because there is no alternative to God. When the chips are down, it dawns on you suddenly that your greatest asset is your access to God; your greatest connection is your divine connection. The greatest success factor in life is God. The earlier you come to terms with that and cease from other struggles, the better. If you come to terms with this early enough in your life, then your journey to walk with God will be easy. That journey never takes you down but up; from glory to glory, from grace to grace and from honour to honour.

Verse 12 – “Whenever you have thrown away your idols, I have shown you my power.” If you want to see God manifest the power of his outstretched hand this year; if you want to see God show up in a way that he has never done before in your life, THROW AWAY YOUR IDOLS. Someone may say, but I don’t have any idol! There is a modern-day idol that is peculiar to all and sundry; most people who go to Church carry this idol. Many people are looking for a God to use and not a God to serve. God will x-ray motives; the motive is the spirit. If you come to God with that mindset, you will only get toys. Sons go for inheritance but babies go for toys. If you want to enjoy the new deal, the first thing you need to do is to throw away your idols. God will not enter into a deal with anyone who is still an idolater. God hates idolatry. What are your idols? For some people it is their jobs even then, the motivation is money – silver and gold. The love of money is the seed that generates evil in the world today. Throw away your idols if you want to see the manifestation of the moves of God in your life.

What is the order of priority in your life? For many people, it is their business first, family in the second place and God in the third place. Whenever there is a shaking, the first thing that will be shaken is whatever is not insured by God; anything that is not insured by God is not safe anywhere in the world today. Nobody is secured outside of God.

“… With one word I have saved you. You have seen me do it; you are my witnesses that it is true.” It does not take God many words to change your world. It takes him just one word to change your world forever. Nobody can oppose what God has endorsed. Who is it that can remove the seal of divinity on you? Who is it that can annul what God has approved? All you need do is to ensure that you keep your own side of the deal – throw away your idols. Put God first. Seek God and live. Enthrone God at the centre of your heart, give him his rightful place. That is the true meaning of worship. Elevate God in your heart. It will change your orientation.

Don’t give God rejects; give him your best. If you do, God will ensure that he gives you the best seed to give. The moment I made up my mind to give God my best, he ensured that I always have the best to give him. Why? It is scriptural. It is God that gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. Don’t struggle with it, just make up your mind. Everyone who walks closely with God comes to the conclusion that God is faithful. He is a covenant keeper. There are certain levels of blessing you can never attain except you have a deal with God. A deal is a covenant, a covenant is an agreement that is binding.

Verse 13 – “From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can oppose what I do.” If it is God that gave you that miracle, no power can abort it. Just make sure that you are not careless. Fall in love with God. Sing songs of praise; saturate your life with his presence. That is all you need. This, however, does not mean that no one will try to oppose it. But as long as you have Jesus as the Master of the storm, your ship will not wreck.

Verse 17 – “I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses, to lie beneath the waves, dead, their lives snuffed out like candlewicks.” All the chariots of Egypt, all the forces of darkness that have ever fought against the purpose of God for your life will be utterly destroyed by the power of the Almighty this year. With one blow, their whole army will sink in the name of Jesus. Pray – Lord, you are the One who did it for the children of Israel, thank you mighty God. You comprehensively destroyed the armies that pursued your children, here I am, there are some forces that have pursued me into this year, Lord, I ask you, in the fulness of your power, utterly destroy any evil power that has pursued me into 2019. Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, utterly destroy them. Let them be comprehensively annihilated never to rise again. Lord, I ask let the earth open and swallow them up in the name of Jesus.

Verse 18 – “But forget all that – it is nothing compared to what I’m going to do!” Your past victory is nothing compared to what God is going to do for you. Anything that you have seen before will pale into insignificance in the light of what God is about to do this year in your life, in your family, in your business, in your ministry and in every facet of your life in the name of Jesus.

Verse 19 – “For I’m going to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Don’t you see it? God is going to do something new – a brand new deal. You will have definite trophies to celebrate and display this year to the glory of God. You will see the mighty hand of God demonstrated in your life terminating every woe and making you to sing a new song in the name of Jesus.

Verse 20 – “The wild animals in the field will thank me … my chosen ones, can be refreshed.” God is going to refresh you this year. You will be abundantly watered, you will be like a well watered garden, no more dryness, no more barrenness, no more unfruitfulness. Darkness is gone, the glorious light of God will shine and the name of the Lord shall be magnified in Jesus name.

Verse 21 – “I have made Israel for myself, and these my people will some day honour me before the world.” It is time for us to display the goodness of the Lord. We will showcase the goodness of God this year. That is the brand-new deal. It will speak. This year, you will be a solution provider. You will solve problems that are older than your age. You will pastor those who are many years older than you because your wisdom will be from above in Jesus name. you will proffer solution to intractable problems. Holy Spirit will give you assisted performance in all your endeavours in the name of Jesus. When you appear, darkness will be driven away. The river of life will flow through you and terminate problems that have defied solution in the name of Jesus. It is a new deal and God is not done with you yet.

Heb. 12:22-24, “But you are come right up into Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem … and to Jesus himself, who has brought us his wonderful new agreement; and to the sprinkled blood which graciously forgives instead of crying out for vengeance as the blood of Abel did.” The forces that pulled you down are all under your feet because you have come right up. If it is God that is leading you, it has to be upward movement; any connection that takes you down is a wrong connection. We have brand new deal in Christ, a new agreement, a new covenant, a new testament. If you have the revelation of the new deal sealed with the precious blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, every other deal that was holding you down will be defeated. Where a superior covenant is, every other covenant bows.

Pray – I have a brand-new deal in Christ – new year, new deal. I cannot be bound again, I cannot be fettered by the evil covenants of my Fathers; I cannot be fettered by any evil transaction. Any evil transaction that I have ever entered into or that was entered into on my behalf by whosoever at whatsoever time in my life comes to an end right now. Cease to operate in the name of Jesus. Any evil covenant with familiar spirits, death, demons, any satanic covenant, any evil dream covenant, any evil business transaction ceases to operate in my life today in the name of Jesus. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, the blood of everlasting covenant that is speaking right now in my life, I am completely delivered from the lineage and bloodline of idolatry, it has come to an end. It is a new deal, it is a brand-new dawn, it is a brand-new agreement signed with the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus speaks for me against any evil summon, against any evil judgement. Thank you, Jesus.

Pray for your Country – Micah 7:14-15 – O God, come and lead us as a nation, come and right every wrong, intervene and give us godly leadership in the mighty name of Jesus. Give us leadership that will destroy the idols in the land. Lord, lead your flock, rule your people, lead your flock, make us to live in peace and prosperity and let us enjoy the fertile pasture. Let this nation blossom again in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, let your mighty wind of restoration blow, drive away the wild beasts. Restore the years that were eaten by the locust, the palmerworm, the cankerworm and the caterpillar. Let righteousness reign all over this nation. Thank you, faithful God, in Jesus name.

Pray for yourself – This year Lord, help me to be led of you, let all my decisions be spot on in line with your purposive will for my destiny. Help me to always be where you want me to be, always doing what you want me to do. Help me not to be ensnared, help me not to derail. Holy Spirit, please be my guide, be my mentor, be my teacher, be my advocate, be my counsellor, be my comforter. Shield me from every appearance of evil and from every contamination that is out there and position me to operate in the highest. I ask that you fill me afresh with life and power to the glory, praise and honour of your name. Amen.
