THE BATTLE OF ALTARS (THE ARK WAS CAPTURED)

The good news is that there is a way of escape for you. The New Testament believer is not only:

  1. An altar, (you are the temple of the Holy Ghost) – 1 Cor. 3:16
  2. The sacrifice according to Rom. 12:1, but also
  3. The Priest (1 Peter 2:9)

In the Old Testament, before you can worship God, you need to bring a sacrifice and then go to the place where God designated the temple and then you need a priest. But according to the Bible, the New Testament Christian is not only the altar, he is the sacrifice and the Priest. 1 Pet. 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” In 1 Pet. 2:5, Apostle Peter captures it this way: “Ye also, as lively stones are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” You are supposed to be a mobile ark; you are supposed to be a consecrated carrier of the very manifest presence of God. Where you operate, dagon should not be able to lift a finger; when dagon sees you, it should bow.

Why is evil all over the place? It is because the sons of God are not manifesting. The Church stopped raising consecrated worshippers and started lowering standards while raising Christians with entitlement mentality. If you are not a consecrated worshipper, you will have your eyes on the things of the world and begin to consider doing what the world is doing, thereby rationalizing nonsense. Men of God are not exempt from this. The sad thing is that when one man of God derails, thousands of souls are led astray.

The impact of a consecrated life is enormous. The call of God is the highest call there can ever be and God expects you to fulfil it. True success is your ability to remain true to the call of God. Look at the impact of the life of one consecrated worshipper – Jesus Christ. He died at the age of 33, his ministry lasted for only 3½ years, but look at the impact. Two thousand years have come and gone, yet nobody can ever rival him in terms of success. If you are doing what God has not called you to do, you are only wasting your time.

The battle of altars is a battle you must fight and win. It is a destiny battle. Whatever you want to do in life, it is waiting for you. We are called to be more than conquerors and it is only in Christ that we can fulfil it.

God wants to have more of you but there are certain things you are holding on to that are locking him out. The Holy Spirit is so gentle that if you lock him out, he will not command the door to open, despite the fact that he has the power to do so. You are the keeper of the door. If you open and ask him to stay on your balcony, there he stays. However, if the devil comes to the main house – the sitting room, the bedroom or the kitchen, don’t expect the Holy Spirit to break protocol. He will remain at the balcony where you put him. Your will, he will not violate; he will not impose his will on your will. This is one of the reasons why Christians suffer. The mystery is the mystery of surrender; it is as you surrender, as you allow him. But when he has taken over everything, if the enemy dares, the enemy will bow, dagon will fall, baal will fall, beelzebub will fall and if any power tries to prop them up, that power will be judged. God himself will strike them with emerods and the evil altar will be rent and the ashes poured away.

TO BE CONTINUED.
