BLESSED BEYOND CURSE (PART 10A) EMPOWERED TO BE FRUITFUL – NO MORE BARRENNESS
Rev. 22:1-3, “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him.”
In Gen. 1:27-28, we saw God’s purpose for man which is for man to be fruitful. After God created man, he charged, mandated and supernaturally empowered man to be fruitful, to increase, multiply and to have dominion. God was very specific about the nature and dimensions of the dominion. What it meant was that man was comprehensively in charge of the perfect environment that God created. A perfect man was placed in a perfect environment and given only one commandment which man disobeyed. Man fell and God, in his wisdom, designed a special way of escape for man.
That way of escape is that his Son had to come to fulfil every word that was spoken concerning him; be complete in obedience in every sense, humble himself in every sense of that word and go to the cross and die. In order to appreciate what God did for us, you need to take a look at what it took Jesus; the condescension from divinity to becoming man to carry the sins of man; to die on the cross for the sins of man on the cross.
In the very last chapter of the book of Revelation, everything that was spoken by the prophets have been literally fulfilled and God still wanted to re-construct the whole universe. A perfect God wanted a perfect universe. It is in that re-construction that we have the river of life flowing and you can actually trace the flow of that river of life from Genesis through the Bible through Ezekiel 47 through to John 7:37-39 through to Revelation 22. God still says because this river flows, there shall be no more barrenness, so the river of God terminates barrenness. Barrenness is only a product of the fall of man.
PRAY:- Dear Heavenly father, I worship you. I thank you for your boundless love for me in sending your Son to die for me. I celebrate His finished work on the cross of calvary and appropriate His victory as my victory. I declare that through His death, burial and resurrection all my sins are forgiven and therefore there shall be no more barrenness in any area of my life. I am blessed beyond curse. I have a wonderful inheritance in Christ Jesus. Amen
