BLESSED BEYOND CURSE (PART 21F) – PRINCIPLES OF FINANCIAL PROSPERITY

The one-talent man thought he was being bold and vocal and in the process gave his boss the weapon to use to finish him. That is one of the attributes of fools – they don’t know how to talk to people and when to talk. Relationships are either horizontal or vertical. Today, you can find this kind of attitude being displayed all over the place and even in the Church.

Some years back, there was a junior Pastor who applied to a Bible School that was affiliated with the Church of the senior Pastor. The General Overseer of the Bible institute requested for a recommendation from the Senior Pastor, unfortunately, the senior Pastor could not vouch for the junior Pastor. Instead of humbling himself and apologizing for his bad attitude, the junior Pastor in a fit of anger went to the senior Pastor and gave him a piece of his mind. This is lack of wisdom! His attitude only confirmed the reservations the senior Pastor had about him.

I have also had terrible experiences with recommending people. I interceded on behalf of a Sister to get a good job and God answered that prayer. She got a job in a bank and not long after, she brought a guarantor’s form requesting that I sign the same for her. Incidentally, that was the period when we were studying the book of Proverbs in my house and Prov. 6:1-2 says, “SON, if you endorse a note for someone you hardly know, guaranteeing his debt, you are in serious trouble. You may have trapped yourself by your agreement” (TLB). This particular scripture immediately propped up in my mind and I turned down the request. The Sister was apparently very disappointed but she eventually got two other people to sign for her. After spending some time in the bank, this Sister was involved in a fraud and the bank immediately went after her guarantors. Every one-talent person has attitude problem and they are the worst people to pastor. May you not bury your talent; whatever makes you to bury your talent wants to bury your destiny. God wants you to be fruitful; there is no place for the unfruitful in God’s kingdom.

The mandate to be fruitful is a divine mandate, a command. “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion … upon the earth” Gen. 1:28. Until money begins to multiply in your hand, you cannot deploy it for impact. If money is adding up, it is good but you should aim at multiplication of funds. Whatever amount you have, ensure that you multiply it. Let the multiplication anointing come upon you in the mighty name of Jesus. There are several things you can do to multiply the resources in your hand. Pray –

Lord, in any way that I have buried any of the talents you deposited in me, I am sorry. Please forgive me. I do not want to be a one-talent person. Grant me the grace O God to deploy the talents you have put in my hands to effective use in your kingdom in the name of Jesus.
Lord, let your multiplication anointing rest upon my resources and upon the talents you have deposited in me.

Make me a producer and not a consumer and take me to the overflow dimension of your blessings. Bless me and make me a blessing and increase my capacity for doing good. Thank you faithful God, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

TO BE CONTINUED.
