One of the prevalent reasons why a lot of people pray and nothing happens is because of uncommitted heart; it is one of the obstacles to answered prayers. God is not committed to answering prayer from an uncommitted heart because in the place of prayer, God listens more to the heart than the mouth. An understanding of this should spur us to spend quality time in preparing our heart for God’s answer. God wants you to be passionate about your relationship with him and when you get to that level, even the longings of your heart will become answered prayers; before you pray, God has already answered.

Psa. 40:1-3 says, “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.” The Psalmist did not pray; there was no indication in this Psalm that he prayed, all he did was to wait; he positioned himself and God began to move.

  • Lord, please prepare my heart; let my heart be always right to receive from you in the name of Jesus. Grant me a perfect heart and remove every iniquity in my heart; anything that can block the flow of your presence, anything that can block the flow of your power in my life, Lord, I ask you to roll it away in the name of Jesus.
  • Lord, I ask that you give me a perfect heart in the name of Jesus, thank you blessed Lord, in Jesus name.

We had earlier established that the hand of God is the greatest antidote to fear and that the hand of God will always guarantee you victories anywhere there is a challenge according to God’s word in Isaiah 41:10-15. The hand of God will open doors of blessing and ensure that they are not shut. When God begins to open doors for you, no power either in flesh or out of it can shut them.
