2019 OPERATION 18-18 (DAY 28) – STRATEGIC PROPHETIC POSITIONING FOR THE NEW DECADE I
TEXT: Isa. 60:1
“Arise, my people! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the Lord is streaming from you.” (TLB)
Arise is a command. Arise means get up and get going. It is time to get up, it is time to stir up, it is time to stand up. Until you stand up you cannot stand out; arise, take a position. It is good to see through the tunnel of the future and align yourself with the purposive will of God. You’ve got to have the word of God over your head in order to operate in the realm of the supernatural and for everything will begin to work together for your good.
How do I arise, you may ask? It is very easy to park; many people arise when they have not even started. They settle down and start doing things when God has more frontiers for them to navigate. Anything that parks attracts dust. If you park too early that is what is going to happen. Anywhere you park has become your promised land but God has something better for you. Only those who keep timely appointments with divine schedules for their destinies are those that will be successful. So those who park have missed it big time. It doesn’t matter your accomplishments in the previous years, your golden age lies ahead, not behind.
There are three categories of people;
- Yesterday, yesterday people. They are always referring to past glories and accomplishments, all the testimonies they have are in the past.
- Today, today people. For them, it is like there is no tomorrow and there was never yesterday. Everything is – let us eat and make merry today for tomorrow we will be gone. They are experts in consumption; no production, no vision, no purpose.
- Tomorrow, tomorrow people. They behave as if there was no yesterday, today is just an accident of history or geography, it is just tomorrow; everything is about tomorrow – ‘I will’, ‘I will’. What they are doing today does not really align with what they want to be tomorrow. They keep procrastinating. Procrastination is the thief of time. When tomorrow comes, they will discover that they are not ready so they keep expecting another tomorrow. It is what you do today that will position you for a glorious tomorrow.
As a child of God, you are not supposed to be a yesterday, yesterday person, you are not supposed to be a today, today person, you are not even supposed to be a tomorrow, tomorrow person. You are supposed to be a yesterday, today and forever person. Jesus is our model. Heb. 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” Yesterday, you had experiences, you have testimonies of yesterday – the fire burnt yesterday and produced ashes, today the fire is burning and you have testimonies for today; tomorrow the fire will continue to burn and you will have greater testimonies. That is God’s purpose and that is why he gave us a pattern Son, he expects us to pattern our lives after his so that we may succeed. Our lives are going to get progressively better because we are connected to him.
