BLESSED BEYOND CURSE 31A- THE HAND OF GOD

It is wrong theology that says that once you give your life to Christ everything will become a bed of roses. As long as we are on this earth, the Bible says there will be tribulation but we must be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome for us and through him we shall do valiantly. Anybody who is on this side of heaven is not exempt from raging warfare. It is not optional, what is optional is being an overcomer. You are born into a raging warfare. Spiritual warfare is not fought with rubber bullets but Jesus gave us authority, he gave us power “Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” Luke 10:19.

You can see that Jesus never promised anybody a bed of roses or red carpet treatment. Instead, he equipped us to be people who will march on serpents and scorpions and what he guarantied us is that none of those things will hurt us. Even if we drink deadly poison, it will not hurt us and if we lay our hands on the sick, they shall recover. This is part and parcel of the blessing of connecting to him. When you connect with Jesus, the same anointing that was in him starts flowing through you. As he was a healing agent – everywhere he went he was doing good healing all – so he expects us to be. He wants us to be healing agents in this world that is full of snakes and scorpions; he expects us to be healing agents in this world that is so perverse and getting more and more perverse every passing moment.

If anyone tells you that things will get better in the world, it only means that the person is not conversant with the word of God. Things are not going to get better in the world but things will get better for those who know the Lord. The Bible says, “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” Dan. 11:32. It is only those who are connected to Christ that will do exploits. If you meditate carefully on this scripture, you will notice that there are two classes of people: those who will do exploits and those who will be exploited.

Knowledge is very fundamental. “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent”. No knowledge of Christ, no eternal life! Knowledge of the true God will produce faith and faith will produce the anointing for exploits, because the anointing for exploits flow in the direction of faith. Faith does not make things easier or simpler, no, it however makes an overcomer out of you no matter the situation. Faith assures you that with God, nothing shall be impossible. That is the dimension that we need to operate this end time. When others are crying that there is a casting down, for us, there will be lifting. It is only in Christ that you can find true meaning to life. Without Christ, life is a mirage….a struggle after the wind.
