6. Ecumenism – one-world religion. The real motive behind ecumenism is to deny Jesus Christ and secretly worship satan. Rev. 13:1-8 buttresses this point. People will bow to the anti Christ. Christianity is not religion. Religion is fallen man’s attempt to find the true God while Christianity is the true God’s attempt to find fallen man through his Son, Jesus Christ. If you don’t know the original, you will go for counterfeit. John 17:3 says, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” The principle behind ecumenism is that everyone is serving the same God! We are not serving the same God. If it is not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, it is not the true God. If you worship any other god, you are serving baal. A lot of people are seeking Jehovah at the altar of baal. The end time is nearer than we know!

7. Increasingly ungodly governments, wickedness and insensitivity of rulers. Luke 21:25-26, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”

Action Point

• Mean business with God. If you have not given your life to Christ, do so now.
  • Straighten your life.
  • If you have surrendered your life to Christ already, re-dedicate your life afresh to him. This age is winding down faster that we can imagine.
  • Take your walk with God very seriously.
• Feast daily on the word of God. The Bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
  • You can download audio Bible on your phone and play it as many times as possible. You need not go to Church to hear the word, play it in your environment.
  • Saturate your life and environment with the word, by so doing, you will carry so much light that darkness cannot comprehend you.
  • Impregnate your children with the word of God otherwise the world will take them over. That is the only way to raise godly children.
• Pray without ceasing. It is possible to achieve this. The more you pray, the more you see the need. Jesus told his disciples to watch and pray.
• Be led by the Holy Spirit.
  • Don’t be led by your emotions and things your read.
  • The Holy Spirit is the only Person that can guide you to fulfil the destiny that God has ordained for you.
  • The seal of the Holy Spirit will ensure that you end in heaven, our eternal home. Everyone has a seal and you will end in the home of the person whose seal you bear. May you not collect an evil seal that will make you end up where you least imagined.
• Watch. Be watchful. Be alert. There is no short cut to spiritual alertness.
• Focus on eternity. Don’t ever be carried away by anything down here.
  • Think heaven. Be heavenly minded. The preacher in the book of Ecclesiastes talks about vanity of life here on earth. No one will take anything out of this world.
• Live ready. How do you live ready?
  • Be ye holy. There is no short cut to holiness. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of sanctification. Without holiness no one will see God.
