LEARN OF ME III

If you want to be like Christ, if you want to become a disciple, you need to change your model. It is a process of continuous learning. The closer you come to Christ, the more you want to drop things, in order to reflect his image. That is what it means to be an ambassador; a true representative, a replica of Jesus Christ. When someone is looking for Christ and the person finds you, he should be able to say I have found the Lord and you will not disappoint. A Christian leader was kidnapped by terrorists in the northern part of Nigeria and was asked to renounce Christ if he wanted to be set free. The man was resolute; he refused to renounce Christ and was killed. When his wife and children heard about this, they were very happy and instead of mourning they started rejoicing. This is Christian character, Christlikeness. This is what it means to be a disciple. Let us mirror our lives after Christ.

Meekness is not synonymous with weakness. Matt. 5:5, “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” when the chips are down everyone will bow to the lamb, the meek. It is the meek that will inherit the earth and not the strong nor the lion. Isa. 35:9 says, “No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there.” in the realm of the spirit, you are either a lamb or a lion. When a member of the fellowship started stealing from the ministry, the Lord revealed to me a rat and as I was watching the rat it started growing bigger and bigger until it occupied every space in the room. In the realm of the spirit, he is a rat. During deliverance sessions, I have seen the manifestation of cats, dogs, crabs, snakes and other dangerous animals.

The blessings of Meekness

1. The blessings of a wonderful inheritance that no one should miss.
   Children go for toys while sons go for inheritance. The greatest mistake any son can make is to miss his Father’s inheritance. It is unfortunate that unbelievers seem to understand this principle better than believers.  Why did Jesus come? He came to make sons out of us so that we can have inheritance. The daughter in the realm of the spirit is also a son. You can mature to be a son in the realm of the spirit. Sonship is not automatic. You can be a baby. Babies go for toys. Tell me what you are pursuing and I will tell you what you will get; you get what you pursue at the end of the day. That is why we need to learn of him. Sons learn of their father; sons learn to be like them because they know that inheritance is all they need. Think about inheritance – what you never laboured for. Here, we are talking about the inheritance of the king of glory. The inheritance of the owner of the universe. May you not miss it in Jesus name. Let that be your aspiration, let it be your motivation. It is when people don’t have aspiration that they don’t get motivated.

Dear Heavenly Father, I worship and bless your holy name. I ask you to graciously help me to conform to the image of your dear son Jesus Christ. Make it impossible for me to miss my heavenly inheritance in Jesus name. Amen.
