CELEBRATING THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 2)

• The Holy Spirit as God is omnipotent. Micah 3:8, “But truly I am full of power of the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.” Isa. 61:1-3, “The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called the trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” When you celebrate the Holy Spirit, God is gloried. The essence of the spirit of the Lord upon me is so that God might be glorified. That is the essence of the practical demonstration of Holy spirit and the manifestation of God. Remember that the Holy Spirit is Jesus unlimited. The very power that anointed Jesus to touch lives; that same anointing to preach the good news, to set the captives free, to heal the sick, to touch lives and bring about transformation, is upon you and when you manifest this power, you are celebrating the Holy Spirit. You then come to a point in your life when you don’t have any agenda of your own; no dignity to protect but divinity to promote. When you get to that point, your meat will be to do the will of your Father. True Christianity is neither fanfare nor exhibitionism. It is all about GOD is glorified.
• Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” One of the ways of celebrating the Holy Spirit is witnessing – being a good witness of Christ indeed. God wants to empower you; you carry so much of his presence that your life ceases to be parochial, it ceases to be narrow. You will be so much transformed that people around you will notice that there has been a change; your family members will testify that God has touched you. If you want to be a child of God, for goodness sake, be a true child of God indeed. There is no limit to which the Holy Spirit can use you. The secret is witnessing first and foremost in your Jerusalem, then in Judea, Samaria and uttermost part of the world. God wants you to be a planet shaker. If you want to walk closely with God, the first thing you need to drop is your personal ambition. True success is not measured in terms of your achievements or earthly acquisition; true success is how much of God’s programme for your life did you achieve? True success is keeping timely appointment with divine schedules for your life. Do you keep appointments with divine schedules or are you busy running your own show?
• The Holy Spirit as God is eternal according to Heb. 9:14. “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” The life the Holy Spirit gives is not temporal but eternal; there is no eternal life without the Holy Spirit. The celebration of the Holy Spirit is the celebration of eternal life. The blood of Jesus Christ is the blood of eternal life because the life that Jesus carries is the Holy Spirit. That is why the blood of Jesus gives life. That is why when you apply the blood of Jesus by faith, the Holy Spirit moves.
