2020/2021 OPERATION 18-18 DAY 15C (COVENANT OF DIVINE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION)

Psa. 145:20

“The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.” One of the secrets of divine protection and preservation is loving God.

John 14:23 says, “Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

This implies that the person will become a mobile ark; the person will literary be a carrier of the presence of God. How then can any harm or evil come near such a person? How can the enemy have an upper hand in the life of such a fellow? It is just not possible.

The key is love. God himself will preserve him. Safety is not the absence of danger; it is the presence of God that guarantees safety at all times. The presence of God will guarantee your optimum and comprehensive security, protection and preservation.

Psa. 23:4-6 says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”

The enemy will still be there; it is not the presence of the enemy that creates danger. No. the enemy is not the problem, the problem is – have you decided to love God? There is so much energy concentration on the enemy – so much of ‘enemycentricism’ in some Churches today. The greatest enemy of man is man himself! Do you really love God? If you answer in the affirmative, it can be verified. You cannot be in love and not be passionate. It is not possible to be in love and be passive. What you love, you will pursue. Tell me what you pursue and I will tell you what you really love, your first love.

It is not that people don’t love God at all, they love him but partially. They have other things in their heart that they love more. Three times Jesus asked the question, “Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? (John 21:16a). You can be with the Lord and not really love him. If Jesus could ask Peter such a question three times, then you should know how pertinent it is. What is it that is contending the place of God in your heart? That is your greatest enemy, the enemy within.

Jesus said that your enemy is your household enemy; you are a house! That household starts from you. If you can get it right in the garden of your heart, no snake can enter, it is not possible. The fire of the presence of God will keep the wild beast away. Everywhere you go, you will carry fire because God is a consuming fire. That fire builds a protective hedge around you. That fire guarantees you health, so it keeps your body warm and keeps the wild beasts away. Once that fire is burning, you can break into the enemy territory, take water, and come out unharmed. That fire guarantees that the plague that is consuming thousands by the left and thousands by the right will not come near you. That is what the Bible says.
