Characteristics of the Spirit of Herod II

3. It is the spirit of deception.
It is a lying spirit. It deceives in order to accomplish its aim. Herod lied to the wise men from the east that they should come back and tell him where Jesus was so that he too could go and ‘worship’ him. This was of course a lie. Deception is one of the most prevalent sins in the world today. It was the first sin and now the joker of the devil. One of the ways to have dominion over the spirit of deception is to be addicted to the word of God. The more of the word of God you take in the more you will be able to determine what is false. The more truth you have inside of you the more you will be able to discern deception. The truth in you will be the rod of righteousness that will swallow up every rod of the magicians, every rod of the wicked, every contrary rod, every rod of the unrighteous, every rod of deception. There is so much wisdom in the word of God and this wisdom is sovereign. It is above all.

Pray –

• I raise the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth against you spirit of deception. I overcome you by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind you and cast you into the abyss. I destroy your works, I terminate your operation. Thus far you come, you go no further. I forbid your operation in my life and in the life of any member of my family in the name of Jesus. I cut you off in Jesus name and terminate your operation.

• I have the spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit, in me in Jesus name. Jesus is the truth. I am established in the truth in Jesus name. I declare my eternal dominion over the virus of deception. I rise above it by the power of the blood of Jesus and by the word of God.

• Lord, grant me grace to always celebrate your word and let it swallow the rod of the wicked in Jesus name. Amen.
