Covenant of healing and health

2020/2021 OPERATION 18-18 DAY 17A (COVENANT OF HEALING AND HEALTH)

One of the good and perfect gifts that God bestows upon the object of his love is good health. I do not know of a Father who will want his children to be ill. If your earthly father can be so concerned about your health and well being, you can imagine how your heavenly Father, the inexhaustible source of every good thing, feels about your health. God has made ample provisions for us to be healthy, wealthy and wise.

Prov. 4:20

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” God is not only interested in our spiritual well being, he is very much interested in our physical and comprehensive well being. The Bible says in 3 John 2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Pray –

  • Father, I thank you for the generous provisions you have made for my comprehensive well being, here and hereafter. Thank you for the provisions you have made in your word, thank you for the provisions you have made in your Son.
  • I thank you for the provisions you have made through the blood of your dear Son Jesus Christ. I thank you for the provisions you have made through the power of the precious Holy Spirit resident in me. I appreciate and bless your name. I thank you for life. I worship and adore you in Jesus name.

Exo. 15:26

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”

He is the Lord who specializes in healing us. He is the Lord who habitually heals us. He is the Lord, our healer. What God is saying here is based on our responsibility to obey and diligently comply with his instructions.

Does God really put diseases in the body of his children? The truth is that all good and perfect gifts come from God. I got a clearer picture of this scripture in one of the books of Kenneth Hagin. I understand that the original Hebrew from which this scripture was translated has a particular tense that the is not available in English language. That tense is in permissive sense. So, the right way to read this scripture is – God will not permit any of the diseases that attack the Egyptians to be found in the body of his children who comply with his instructions. Essentially, that is what it means. It is not the will of God that any of his children be sick. But we know that if you go to the hospitals, there are a lot of Christians there. God cannot impose his will on anybody.
