“But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn; I shall be anointed with fresh oil”
One of the things that the anointing does is that it destroys the yoke of sickness and disease according to Isa. 10:27, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” It doesn’t matter whether it is the yoke of sickness, poverty, bondage, captivity, every yoke shall be destroyed by the anointing of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus. When God intervenes in a situation, the first thing he does is to break every shackle and set his children free. In so doing, the children are also healed. Deliverance is nothing but spiritual healing. God is interested in our comprehensive well being; always keep this in mind.
“I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.”
This scripture is emphasizing the word of God as a quickener, a healing agent. The word quicken is from the Hebrew word ‘Chayah’ (ḥāyâ) which means to give life, to restore, revive, reinvigorate and put life in something. Sickness is an agent of death. There are two laws concerning this, the law of sin and death and another which is the law of the spirit of life which is in Christ Jesus. Bible makes us to understand that the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death. Rom. 8:1-2, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
You cannot be walking in the two laws at the same time; once one is in operation, the other will be in abeyance. As children of God, we are under the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Some people profess that we are no longer under the law. Every child of God is still under some kind of laws one of which is the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
There is also another law in Gal. 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” This is very important. It is called the law of sowing and reaping and applicable to both believers and unbelievers alike. Whatever you sow, you will reap.
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
