Reasons why Christians fall sick

5. Age.
The first, second, third and fourth reasons enumerated above can actually be handled by you, you have control over them. However, you have no control over old age. It is a natural phenomenon. God did not design the earth for man to live forever. We are all pilgrims, passing through. There is a time to be born and there is a time to die. If we take care of the first four, then, we will age gracefully. The Bible makes provision for bearing fruit even in old age. It is part and parcel of the blessings of those who serve God according to Psalm 92:13-15. “Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing to shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” we need to change our mindset from being visitation minded to being habitation minded.

Pray –

Ask God to help you. Is there sin in your life? Is there any sickness in your body? Look inwards, don’t assume that you got it right, be honest enough to evaluate yourself. It has been proved that certain sicknesses are psychosomatic, they have no cure, doctors only manage such patients to a peaceful exit. There is so much bitterness in the body of Christ today. Bitterness is a killer. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison while hoping that your enemy will die! Let there be no root of bitterness in your heart according to Heb. 12:15. Why do people find it difficult to forgive and move on in life so that they can be forgiven? Jesus said if you don’t forgive, you will not be forgiven. Study the parable of the wicked servant in Matt. 18:21-35. The master handed him over to the tormentors to be tortured until he pays back everything he owes. Jesus said so will be done unto you if you fail to forgive from your heart. The devil knows this and that is why he is creating offence everywhere.

• Father, please help me in the name of Jesus Christ. Is there any way that I have been careless? Is there any way that I have been ignorant? Is there any sin in my life? Lord, I am ready to forgive – forgive everyone you are holding in unforgiveness unconditionally. Forgiveness is a gift that you give to yourself and not to any person.

• Ask God to help you and remove every grudge and offence from you. Ask him to forgive you of every presumptuous sin, secret sin, overt sin, resentment, malice, strife. Ask him to make you holy, pure, and acceptable to him.

• Ask him for grace never again to hold anyone in unforgiveness in your heart. Ask God to be merciful unto you and open your eyes to the areas where you have been careless.
