The titles of the Devil

• John 8:44 describes him as the father of all lies.
  If he is the father of lies, it then implies that he is the father of liars. Shun lying. God desires truth. The greatest lie anyone can tell is the one you tell yourself. A lot of Christians are guilty of this. How can you be a child of God and not be a person of integrity? Integer means one, no duplicity, no speaking from the two sides of the mouth. This is of the devil. Lying is one of the spiritual marks of the dragon. Jesus Christ is the truth. God the Father desires truth in the inward man. The incarnate word is the truth – sanctify them through thy truth thy word is truth (John 17:17). The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth. He is the spirit of Christ and grace. Grace does not permit you to tell lies. The grace that permits you to sin is not the grace of God. It is possible to come short of the grace according to Heb. 12:15. Determine that henceforth you will no longer tell lies. I took that decision a long time ago. Rom. 8:9 says categorically that anyone without the spirit of Christ is none of his. Some translations say that such person is not a Christian at all. The spirit of Christ is the spirit of truth. Once the hedge is broken the serpent bites. Fence off the snake. Don’t fraternize with it. Those who think that fraternizing with the world will bring forth any good are only deceiving themselves. You cannot carry the mark of the beast and still exercise dominion over him. This truth is no longer being emphasized today. You cannot carry the seal of Lucifer and claim that you have dominion over him. It is only those who fly on the wings of the Holy Ghost that will have dominion over the dragon. If you can live 24 hours without telling a lie, you can live for one week without it. If you can live for one week without telling lies, then you can live for one month without it. There is nothing like white lie, every lie is of the devil, the father of lies. Anything that is not consistent with the word of God is a lie. Henceforth, mean business with God and he will exalt you. You need not tell lies in order to get a business deal. Honesty is still the best policy.

Pray –

• Lord, in any way that I have ever lied, I am sorry. I repent and I ask you to forgive me. I don’t want to be a child of the devil, the father of lies. Lord, make it impossible for me to tell lies again. I ask you O God for the spirit of truth. I yield my tongue to the spirit of truth.

• Grant that every word that will proceed from my mouth henceforth will be full of truth. Sanctify my mouth with the spirit of truth in the name of Jesus Christ.

• Whether convenient or not, grant me the grace O God to always say the truth in Jesus name. Amen.
