The titles of the Devil

• He is the tempter.
  Matt. 3:4. Lift up your hands against every form of temptation that the devil has programmed to come against you or any member of your family. God has given us what it takes to overcome the devil’s temptations. That is why the greatest power to overcome temptation is the word of God. Stay on the word. Feed your spirit-man with the word daily so that when the devil comes, you can confront him with ‘thus says the Lord’ and he will leave you for a season. Jesus used the word of God to counteract every temptation the devil brought his way.

Pray –

• I raise the blood of Jesus Christ against every form of temptation. Lord, make it impossible for me to succumb to any temptation henceforth in the name of Jesus. Make it impossible for any member of my family to succumb to any temptation. Lord, make it impossible for me or any member of my family to be deceived in the name of Jesus.

• You tempter, I raise the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth against you. I draw the blood of Jesus Christ line against you. In the name of Jesus Christ, I overcome you by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. I declare my everlasting dominion over you in Jesus name.

• I will not fall. I will not falter. I will not fail in Jesus name.

• Matt. 12:24 describes him as the prince of the devils.
  In other words, he is the prince of demons. One of the things that we celebrate in our relationship with Jesus Christ is the sign that he said should follow every believer. “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues” Mark 16:17. The first sign that should follow believers is the ability to cast out demons. Is that sign following you? That is why the world is full of demonized people. When I started casting out devils, the Lord gave me a winning strategy. I don’t start out by casting out the little devils; I always go for the strongman. ‘You the strongman responsible for … I come against you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I bind you and I cast you into the abyss.’ Once you deal with the strongman, the smaller ones will vacate with dispatch.

Pray –

• Lord, I thank you for the authority you have given me. I thank you that through you I shall do valiantly. I thank you that in your name I can cast out devils. I declare my eternal dominion over the prince of demons in the name of Jesus Christ.

• Through your death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ the eternal Son of the living God, I have dominion over sin, self, satan, and all his demons.

• Lord, please deliver me from every manifestation of pride. Let no trace of it be found in me. Grant me the grace to walk in humility all the days of my life.

• Help me never to take any decision that will be counterproductive in my life. Help me O God to submit to the right spiritual authority that will move my life forward in the name of Jesus. Grant me the grace to be humble and to submit to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit, I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
