2020/2021 OPERATION 18-18 DAY 28D (FIRE ON THE ALTAR)

Luke 24:49, “And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” This is Jesus’ parting words. The power dimension is the fire dimension of the Holy Spirit. The fire of his presence comes with power. Jesus told his disciples not to jump until they were endued with power. Some people think that ministry is tea party; if you have no fire, please wait until you are endued with power from on high. That is the prescription. A lot of people who ran ahead of the fire have been severely wounded.

Acts 1:6-8, “When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, it is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Notice the sphere of influence; the fire of the presence of God magnifies influence. It starts first and foremost from you, it offers you a healing service because it is a healing fire. Ensure that you catch this fire. You need it in the world today. Unfortunately, it is possible to be in the Lord without contacting the fire. Jesus told his disciples that they should wait to be endued with power and it is only then that they would become his ambassadors. He knew that they would have to tread upon serpents and scorpions and it takes fire to crush them. It takes fire to be a witness.

Acts 2:1-4, “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” There was fire measured specifically for each and every one of them – one hundred and twenty people. They were fasting and praying with one accord in the upper room for days until God’s divine timing came. Heaven responded and gave them fire.

The Nature of God’s Fire

a. It is a holy fire.
Psa. 45:6-7, “Thy throne, O God, is for ever: and ever the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right scepter. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” There is oil that comes with purity. This fire will make you hate sin. Whenever fire falls, it judges anything that is not of God. It destroys yokes. When Samson was bound by his people, immediately the fire fell, the chain that was used to bind him was broken and it became like wax before the fire. There is no metal that the fire cannot burn. It is a consuming fire. A devastating fire. It will judge anything that the enemy has used to tie you down. Prov. 25:4 says, “Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.” There is no beauty without fire. True beauty comes from inside out. There is beauty in holiness that is why God wants us to worship him in the beauty of holiness. One of the things the fire will do is to bring out the glory after taking away the dross. It is a pure fire. Anytime the fire goes down, you will start having nightmares. If the fire is aglow upon your head, you cannot have nightmares; this is because even when you sleep, the fire does not go down. When the enemy comes to attack you, he will encounter fire. The fire is real, desire it. For you to be a vessel of honour, you need to have the fire dimension to consume every contamination.

Pray –

• Lord, I ask you for the holy fire of your presence, in the name of Jesus. I ask you for the glory fire. Let it envelop me from the crown of my head down to the soles of my feet. Make me a carrier of the fire of your presence.

• Lord, I ask that you baptize me with Holy Ghost and fire. Baptize me afresh Lord, let your fire envelop and purify me. Let your fire take away every dross. Let your fire break every chain. Let your fire fall and consume every deposit that the enemy has put in any area of my life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• I ask you O God for fire in the name of Jesus. Thank you Lord, I receive the fire of your presence in Jesus name. Amen.
