FREEDOM FROM LUST VII

Job 31:1, “I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?” The only man you can trust is the man who trembles at the word of God and that has reverential fear of God. Job was such a man; he made a covenant with his eyes because he knew that his eyes could lead him to lust. The eye is one of the gateways to lust; what you watch, what you see is capable of blowing your mind.

1 Cor. 6:18, “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.” Run away from sexual sins. Have you ever wondered why the devil is propagating, promoting and exhibiting seduction? His aim is to get you entrapped. The devil will fail in every plan of his to seduce in order to control you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You will not fall into any sex trap or any trap for that matter. None of your children will be messed up in the name of Jesus. None of them shall be deceived, seduced or deluded or distracted in Jesus name.

The one who commits fornication not only sins against his or her body but sins against the soul and spirit. He who goes to a harlot becomes one with her, the same flesh. This is one of the ways through which some men invite bad luck into their lives.

Some years back, a brother joined us in the deliverance room, a very senior usher at the local Church I used to attend. He told us a story of how he was traveling and somewhere during the journey the vehicle he boarded broke down before he got to his destination. According to him a lady who sat beside him in the same vehicle offered to accommodate him for the night claiming that she had a place where they could stay. He agreed. He said at midnight, he suddenly woke up to discover that the lady was lying down beside him on the same bed.

I asked him if anything happened between them, he denied and said that he only noticed that there were a lot of birds hovering around the house and making terrible noise.

As soon as we began praying, the fire of the Holy Spirit fell and to our greatest surprise, the brother started manifesting terribly and the demons in him started speaking saying, ‘he made love to us’. The demons tortured him so much they almost tore him apart. He ended up in a hospital eventually. Regardless of what some people say, pornography results in lust. You are only inviting the snake if you get yourself involved in pornography. The Bible says whoever breaks the edge, serpent will bite. Fence off the serpent; it is your responsibility to do so. Whenever you see any unsolicited site on your device, delete it immediately. It is part of the strategy of deception the enemy employs to delude in order to destroy.

• Everlasting and most merciful Father, Holy one of Israel, I worship you. I thank you for sending your son to die for me. Grant me the grace to live above seduction, deception, distraction and delusion all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
