6. The key of giving CONT’D.
Material supplies are part of the blessings of God. It is not all about spiritual supply alone; the Lord shall supply all your needs. There is no scarcity, no economics in heaven. A lot of people make things unnecessarily difficult for themselves by cheating God in their tithes and offerings. I was like that until sometime in 1993 when I paid my first tithe despite the fact that I had been a Christian for so many years. Before then, I didn’t understand the concept of tithing. But when eventually I did, the blessings came pouring in, to the glory of God. Anything you release into the hands of God, anything you release for a God purpose does not diminish, rather, it gets enhanced. The issue of giving cannot be overemphasized. Don’t cheat yourself! Someone rightly said that giving is living. If you want to live, be a giver. You can never outgive God. As long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest shall not cease. Every seed has a coded instruction to multiply after its kind. If you want to bid financial pressure goodbye forever, become a giver. There is no running away from it. Anyone who eats his seed will never have a harvest. Seed is not meant to be eaten. One of the wisdom of the word of God is that God gives seed to the sower. If God sees that you are a giver, he will continue to give you seed. There is a connection between seed and bread as contained in Isa. 55:10, “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater”. Seed is meant to be sown while bread is meant to be eaten. Most people, however, expect a harvest after eating their seed. All the money that has ever entered your hand is either a seed or a fruit. God’s intention is for man to live by fruits not by seed in the garden. Bread is a processed seed. Wheat is processed into bread. Every fruit is a processed seed. Every fruit is the product of a seed that grew after being sown at a particular point in time. It is difficult to terminate poverty if you are not a seed sower. Remember that it is not only money that you can sow. You can plant the word of God in your heart to produce bountiful harvest in your life. Take note that after Jesus performed the miracle of multiplication of the loaves and fishes he gave an instruction to his disciples to ensure that nothing was lost. You need to be vigilant even in the time of harvest. It is possible for you to lose your harvest in your investment decisions. You need the two in order to optimize your blessings. A good farmer knows how to extract seed from fruits. Even when he is eating his fruits, he is not an absolute consumer, he is a producer. You need to be transformed to become a producer if you want to be a billionaire in God’s kingdom.

Pray –

• Father in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, thank you for you are the one who gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. I ask you O God, in the name of Jesus to empower me with seed and grant me grace to sow and continue to sow so that I can have bountiful harvest in the name of Jesus.
• Make it impossible for me to eat my seed. Lord, I want to live by fruits. I want to live by overflow, I ask you O God to increase my capacity for seed sowing in the name of Jesus.
