SANCTIFY YOURSELF 2F

Isa. 29:24, “They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.” There is a way out. God does not write off anyone as long as the person is willing to learn and change.

Isa. 30:1-3, “Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin. That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.”

How do you add sin to sin? When you overlook the first one and instead of repenting, you try to rationalize it. That was not what David did. He repented in Psalm 51 when he was confronted with his sin. 1 John 1:7-10, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us”.

Pray –

  • Father, make it impossible for me to add sin to sin in the mighty name of Jesus.

One sinner, who is an agent of darkness, is all it takes to destroy an entire nation. May we not misstep in the name of Jesus. It is so easy to go down to Egypt. Egypt represents everything that is against the children of God in the realm of the spirit. It is a place of slavery, the headquarters of bondage of captivity, the headquarters of false religion, idolatry, witchcraft and occultism. Pharaoh is the personification of evil. Evil puts on flesh to become a person.

That is exactly what will happen when the antichrist puts on flesh. The spirit of the antichrist is already at work and at war in the world today. I will never support nonsense. When my brother was still an unbeliever and was going to commit a very big blunder, I tried severally to talk him out of it but he was adamant. We kept on arguing about the issue to the extent that we will get angry, disperse and go to bed but the matter remained unresolved. I, however, kept on praying for him and lifting him up.

One day I went for service and when an altar call was made, to my surprise, I saw my brother respond to that call. Today, he is a pastor, to the glory of God. When it comes to spiritual things, you need to be very careful. Apostle Paul said, “All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any” (1 Cor. 6:12).

Pray –

  • Father, make it impossible for me to add sin to sin. Make it impossible for me to go down to Egypt in the mighty name of Jesus.
