Keep me as the apple of your eye and guide me every inch of the way to my allotted in heritance in you till I become all you want me to be and accomplish all you want me to accomplish. Thank you mighty God.

“And the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.”

1 Sam. 5:1-4

We had earlier established that it was the ecclesiastical sin in the priesthood that brought about the defeat of Israel. There was sin in the house of Eli the chief priest. Failure of parenthood and abdication of responsibility in the house of Eli led to a national tragedy. I have also come to realize that the tragedy could also be as a result of the failure of the children of Eli to comply with parental instructions. Today, raising godly children in a sinful world is a very big responsibility. It is not easy at all.

Any time the Church fails, there will be national consequences. The direction that the Church goes determines the direction that things will move in a nation. That is why the healing of every nation must start from the Church. The healing of the Church starts from the home. The healing of the home must start from man. Many men are abdicating their responsibilities just like the first Adam. Every tragedy in the world today can be traced to the failure of one man. One instruction disobeyed brought about tragedy to mankind. It is not wise to play down on sin. Today, a lot of pastors shy away from preaching against sin because the moment they start doing so, some people will decide to leave the Church. People no longer want to be told the truth anymore. That was exactly what the Bible says will happen in the end times.
