Seven things you need to know about the fire of the presence of God

1. The fire of the presence of God is a holy fire.
It is the fire dimension of the precious Holy Spirit, power dimension of the precious Holy Spirit. We need it particularly in this end time. The Bible says without holiness, no one can see God (Heb. 12:14).

“Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; the scepter of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad”.

Psalm 45:6-8 KJV

The fire of the presence of God is a pure fire and actually judges impurity. That is why we need it. The Bible says take away the dross from the silver and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer (Prov. 25:4). When the fire falls, it takes you to another level of purity. Holiness is not optional, never mind the pollutions that are out there. Nothing defiled can enter heaven. The things of the spirit are self acting, self-excluding. Nothing defiled can make it to the third heavens. This fire cannot be found on the surface, it is in the holy of holies and that is why a lot of people are not carrying it. That was why the disciples had to wait to be stripped of every carnality before the fire rested on them to do the job. Ensure that you spend quality time in the presence of God. Remember that purity is power. If it is God’s power, it must be pure fire.

Pray –

• Lord, please purify me. Lord, let your fire come. Look into my life, where I need deliverance, please deliver me. Is there anything the enemy has attached that gives the enemy access to any area of my life? Let your fire purify me today in the name of Jesus. Consume every demonic gateway; anything that gives the enemy access to my life, let the fire of your presence block it permanently in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you blessed Lord, in Jesus’ name.

2. The fire of the presence of God is a judgment fire.
Some people accuse me of being judgmental, yes, I judge demons and demonic attachments, I judge unrighteousness, impurity and dross. The moment the fire falls during deliverance sessions, you will see the lives of people who are under demonic oppression completely transformed and their real beauty emerges. If you are a spiritual Christian, you must judge all things; that is what the Bible says and you are not judged by any (1 Cor. 2:15). There are so many things that Christians are condoning that need to be judged. The nature of evil is terrible; the evil you condone will eventually consume you. Evil is like a Frankenstein monster, easy to create but difficult to control. You must be very careful not to contract a wrong anointing. If you want this year to be different for you, please judge evil. Don’t spare evil, it is very aggressive. The Bible says flee from every appearance of evil (1 Thes. 5:22).

Pray –

• Lord, let your judgment fire fall upon every power of darkness that has held me or any member of my family down.
• Lord, let your fire fall and consume anything that wants to contaminate and consume me, wherever it is coming from in the name of Jesus.
• Let your purifying fire fall and take away the dross from the silver in the name of Jesus.
• Let the powers that have held me down in bondage of captivity catch fire, burn to ashes in the name of Jesus.
• Let the fire of the presence of God consume every evil altar that is fighting against the purpose of God in my life, consume it in the name of Jesus.
• Let the fire of your presence consume every evil altar that has held this nation down in bondage of captivity; burn it down in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, grant me the grace to love what you love and to hate what you hate and to be a carrier of your judgment fire in Jesus’ name.
